In this series of images, the first page of a planned series, we have He-man (from the 80s' original Filmation classic) struggling in the grizzly arms of Bearman.
Bearman appeared in Season 1's 61st episode "Pawns of the Game Master", but what should be noted is that his name only appeared in the script - therefore went unnamed in the actual episode - and, most unfortunate of all, there was No BearHug between these two characters (though there WAS still a Bearhug in the episode itself . . . ).
Hence why I did this image.
I had done an earlier version of this, but this one done here, after Lent, took 2 days to accomplish.
The numbers refer to the order in how I did them (and sometimes, but not always, thought up).
Also . . . using the numbers provided, I would be interested to know which ones you find the "Best", "Favourite", and if any you would like to see scanned, coloured and re-uploaded separately in your comments below please.

Sam is a big Bear-Hug fan (in comics and animation; though sometimes live-action is good too).
He likes his bearhug illustrations to show characters and moments that he wishes had, or believes should have, been included in their animated series (or comics). Other times the pictures are also ideas from his own concept idea for a comic book hero.
Like most things, the art - in quality and such - improves over time.
Although most of the pages are done on tracing paper with reused/altered material and some others are hand-drawn, in the end they are all worthwhile and seeing! |
