This image took around 5 attempts and one adjustment (with copy+paste) before finally uploading, which I must again APOLOGIZE for taken so long to do.
Each time I tried to get this done I had trouble getting Bearmans eyes/facial features right as well as changing the way Bearman had his arms over He-man on the left close-up, the arms properly aligned on the right side, and at one time before finishing I even thought about changing the overall right-sided bearhug, but Ill save that version for another sheet!
But I’m glad to have FINALLY gotten this drawing right, both of the Bearhugs in a way I LIKE.
You can tell I love drawing He-man in Bearmans bearhug, something I WISH had happened in the Pawns of the Game Master episode.

Sam is a big Bear-Hug fan (in comics and animation; though sometimes live-action is good too).
He likes his bearhug illustrations to show characters and moments that he wishes had, or believes should have, been included in their animated series (or comics). Other times the pictures are also ideas from his own concept idea for a comic book hero.
Like most things, the art - in quality and such - improves over time.
Although most of the pages are done on tracing paper with reused/altered material and some others are hand-drawn, in the end they are all worthwhile and seeing! |
