Saturday November 12 2022 - My first boxing helmet :)Gear
I just got my first boxing helmet recently and I thought I'd share a pic or two. I have to admit that both Zephyr and FighterFromPH have influenced me to get one. Their primary interest is boxing, but they don't mind other forms of combat sports.

I always wanted one of these helmets. They look pretty sexy. Now, all I need left are those leather groin protectors to go with it πŸ˜…

The helmet is kinda big and it's partially hiding my eyes. I'm not sure how people actually box while wearing these clunky contraptions... πŸ™„

Taste my uppercut!

I then went and did a bit of Photoshop to mirror those Super Punch-Out intros. It looks silly, but a bit of fun doesn't hurt anyone. πŸ€—

I sent this to EvilDark (id 1077) and he highlighted the fact that I said that no one lives through my Super Punch to tell the tale, yet my record is 7-11... which technically means that 11 opponents lived through it to be able to tell the tale... or they never saw my Super Punch because I did not have the opportunity to use it. I was probably knocked out before I could land it! 😜

Sunday August 21 2022 - New boxing and MMA glovesGear
I learned the hard way that boxing gloves deteriorate over time... not necessarily through wear and tear, but by long time exposure to warmer temperatures and just having them idle seems to damage them over time. The leather on the gloves just crack depending on the quality and type of material. Both my former MMA and boxing gloves were lost because of this, so I bought myself some new ones.

These are my new black MMA gloves. I had the boxing shorts for quite a long while ago... so no, those are not new.

... And these are my new boxing gloves. Let's have a flex at it...

Or... let's have one where I punch you. πŸ€ͺ

I do have a couple of wrestlers that are also into boxing. Mind you, I never did an active sparring match. What I think I would do with these gloves is simply a give and take format, meaning my opponent stands still and I gut punch him a few dozen times and my opponent does the same for me. I don't have any boxing training, so it's just play/fun-boxing for now. πŸ˜‰

If an uppercut or face punch was used, I probably just pull & receive fake ones, because I can't really really show up to work with a black eye or some broken teeth. πŸ˜‚ That... and my boyfriend would probably not allow me to go wrestle & box ever again. πŸ˜†

Saturday October 30 2021 - Ttaree Moss Dwa Le and ViciousRecent matches
I wrestled last week-end a big, but nice fellow who goes by the name of Ttaree Moss Dwa Le. Yes, I did ask what it meant. I thought it was an expression in a foreign language, but it just happens to be a wrestling pseudonym with no real meaning aside from providing anonimity.

Originating from Montreal, works in Toronto, he occasionally goes back to Montreal to visit his family. He had a wrestling passion for a while and never knew of sites like MeetFighters so a good friend introduced it to him. Weighting 276 lbs and measuring 6'0", this strong giant is actually gentle and caring. He asked me for my weight and when I gave it to him, he was hesitant. He asked me if I really wanted to wrestle him, to which I replied that I have wrestled bigger guys.

Later on when we met, I tried to make him comfortable, we spoke a bit before about our past experiences before locking up. I did my usual stuff to lock his ankle and my headlock is good enough to hold him still. I did try giving him a body scissor, but that was a big mistake, because it ended up giving me a minor cramp. Ttaree was quick on his feet and kindly soothed me by holding my right leg in a very therapeutic manner. Some people are very good with their arms, or maybe he has some supernatural healing powers.πŸ˜…

I actually tried to rack him, but I failed miserably. He was a bit too heavy for me. However, I managed to do a fireman's carry. Woohoo! πŸ€—

Ttaree also asked for my age. I think I was a bit mean: I told him that it's the first thing that is listed on a wrestler's profile. I then showed him how to properly read a wrestling profile on MeetFighters: you visit someone's profile, you scroll down a bit and you see their age, height and weight. It's his first time on the site, so I probably should have been nicer and acknowledge that it's information that is easy to miss if you just jump directly to the description.

Ttaree is very strong and he can easily beat me. He only lacks a bit of experience. He has the strength, he is a rock, an ox, an unmovable brick. On top of that, he's an absolutely charming and nice guy. I couldn't scissor him, but I could bearhug him, and to my surprise, my bearhug had strangely a better impact than my scissors... I was kinda puzzled. πŸ€”

Later on, we chilled a bit, touched him softly and he asked me if I do massages... well, I'm no professional but I can try to do a bit of stuff on his back. What better way to relax after some roughousing?

He asked me if I knew other opponents in Montreal and I tried to set up a three-way, but both wrestlers did not respond on time, so I told Ttaree it will be for another day. For sure, he will be back soon and we will have a rematch. I absolutely loved our session. Even though he is a big guy, you feel very safe when you wrestle him. He's not there to hurt you and he is super adorable.

He loves gear and he had an interest on my eLucha gold and black speedo, so I gave it to him. I love it a lot, but I know I can order a new one. It fits him very well.

I also saw Vicious (id 5128) again that night. He was supposed to be my opponent for our three-way match. I ended up meeting him for a one-on-one, again for the short time we had to communicate this. We haven't seen each other since February 2020, so it's been a good 18+ months or so.

A lot of change happened to him professionally. His weight is still relatively the same and he seems a lot happier now. We tangled a bit, but I was more hungry than anything else. It made me realized that I can't really do more than a match in one day especially when my first opponent is twice my size. So, after what seems to be barely like less than a hour of tumbling around, we went to eat out and I invited him for a steak at the Keg's.

We will try to do another re-match, a longer one. And this time, with a shorter interval than 18 months.

Friday October 29 2021 - A boot and Canadian speedoGear
A potential wrestling opponent has recently asked me to upload a picture of me with a boot... the clichΓ© type of shot that almost every jobber likes: where you are from the ground up, looking at your opponent victorious with a boot on your chest or on your face. It took me a while to find a shot that I like. POV shots from the ground up are rather hard to take when you're alone.

The second shot was necessary because I had to try to remove the fan on the ceiling... πŸ˜… In the end, you see instead my pull-up bar. πŸ˜†

I then tried the same view again, but without the boot.

It's completely different, obviously! This angle makes me look like that I'm super big! In other words, you don't need a boot in yer face to show that you mean business. πŸ˜€

I finally got the red sweat ankle and wrist bands I've ordered to go with the Canadian speedo that Sunny gave me the other day. Here goes my typical pose. Funny, even though red is a color associated to heels, in this particular set up, I feel and look more like a jobber.... but maybe that's because I'm missing my boots. πŸ˜‚

I took the shot the very same hour today along with the boot poses and the camera angles just show two completely different person. You gotta admire the contrast of alternate perspective views: I look... uh... flabby from the ground up and I think I look better when the camera is at the same level. But hey, I'm sure some people prefer my flabby look.

I tried here a relaxed pose by just eyeing or winking at the camera. In the end, it becomes the pose that just seems to suggest a threatening stance: "You think you can beat me?"

I was lazy to put up my black background. 😴 It's a lot of setup. Ideally, if I am to place that black background, it stays permanently there rather than having to mount it up and back down every single time I feel like taking pictures of new gear combinations.

My weight did go down from 170 lbs to 155-ish. I've decided to try to do the effort when my doctor warned me that I currently have two times the recommended dose of low cholesterol in my blood. I think it's because of all the hamburgers I've garbled down my belly since last year. πŸ˜…

I obviously forgot to move away that Styrofoam cylinder on the left. I actually use it to alleviate the pain on my right shoulder & neck. Maybe it's because I try to do one too man racks? 😭 You're supposed to put it rolling down on the floor and put your arm pits on it with your arm stretched out. It does seem to help a bit. I really need to do more yoga...

Sunday October 10 2021 - Sunny RematchRecent matches
I had a rematch with Sunny DeLeon on Monday. We wrestled in the afternoon just before he would leave for the airport in the evening back to Winnipeg. He actually contacted me the day before on my cell, but I had left my cell on its dock the whole day cuz it was my day off and I stayed home. I'm also not really a cell person. I told Sunny had he messaged me on MeetFighters, I probably would have a better chance of seeing it than a text on Whatsapp.

Regardless, we were able to meet around noon. We tumbled a bit and I showed both him and TxWresl a small portion of the Montreal underground city. It's realy nothing special: it's riddled with shopping malls of globalized stores and brands. You'll find the same stores here than in the US.

When we came back to the hotel, we traded gear: he kindly gave me Canada speedos, my first one ever. πŸ˜… It's a very nice cut. It has the red maple leaf on the front and the country's name on the back, all with the typical red and white colors. I'm wearing it in the pictures below. He broke the dual set that he has for tag team matches, but he told me he can easily get another one. The only thing I need to get extra are the red wristbands to match them, but those can easily be bought from eBay or Amazon.

I gave him in return my favorite blue pro trunks that I love so much (he actually picked it... it shows that he has a very good eye and taste!), but I know these can be re-ordered from eLucha. They don't have it available now, but I've contacted the owner to re-have them made again through custom orders. Sunny told me that this would mark his first pro wrestling trunk. πŸ€—

We only took a few more pics. He was very sweet to mention that I should take bearhugs for the site. TxWresl (id 3061) took them for us, he's the excellent photographer that's delivering these amazing images. Whatever filter or setting he used, it's very nice to see how the blurry background helps emphasize the hold on the foreground.

Sunny suffers very well... or actually, knows how to sell my bearhug, because my bearhugs barely inflict any pain. 🀣

Lastly, why not kiss him on his chest while I crush him?

Sunny mentioned that I should attend Fighting4Fun's event that will be held in April of 2022. I think I should be ready to get out of my cocoon and be the jobber or the heel that I am meant to be. 🀩 (For some reason, I always thought that Fighting4Fun's handle was Wrestling4Fun, but I guess both would technically mean the same thing...)

Friday September 10 2021 - Boxing glovesGear
I occasionally have request for boxing.. just general query, but no matches. Mind you, I never done any boxing before aside from giving someone some gut punching or receiving some gut punches. I suppose that doesn't really count since a real boxing match requires moving around the ring, putting your guard up and fighting your way... Anyhow, the gloves do make good pictures though. πŸ˜…πŸ’¦

I'm combining here some kneepads with just some regular white briefs for an experiment. I don't think it looks bad at all.

I do have a contender branded boxing shorts that give you the menacing boxing look.

The fighting stance makes it even more menacing!

In the end, if you want to cool and tone down the tension, you can take a picture like this smiling while crossing your arms wearing boxing gloves. πŸ˜‚

Truth be told, I had to get rid of these boxing gloves because I didn't store them properly. Over time, the leather chipped away and they ended up being unusable. I need to get a new pair.

I think I took these pics 2 years ago in 2019.

I'm gonna add one last one with my MMA gloves for good measure. These ones are still intact and this pic is on my profile since at least two years, I think. It's still one of my favorites. It's the menacing look that scares away people.... lol.

Tuesday March 23 2021 - Heel mode activate!Gear
So while I was at the hotel the other day, I took the opportunity to take a couple of shots. It's rare that I wear black boots, which are pretty much essential if you want to pretend to be a heel. πŸ˜‚

Hence, you have here your standard clichΓ© heel stance:

You can see here the extra weight I took during the pandemic. 😭 I guess the only benefit of that is that it makes me a little bit more believable as a heel. Perhaps I shall register my wrestling handle as Heelboy now instead of Loserboy!

And to finish off, let's have one normal stance.

With the summer coming up and the vaccination drive slowly progressing, I'd probably be able to catch up on a few overdue matches. I'm still currently limiting myself to approximately one match per month to leave enough time to isolate in between them, for the safety of my opponent and my own.

Tuesday January 12 2021 - Dark ShadowPast matches
Oops... I forgot to write something in December. My bad. I do need to give my blog a little bit more love, but with all the running around I've been doing lately and the restoration of the site plus the holidays with family, friends and loved ones, I guess time flies faster than you can imagine.

In the province of Quebec, we are having a curfew at 8 pm. If you go outside after this time, you can be fined anywhere between 1k and 5k. Hotels also reserve the right to check that both you and your guest live at the same address or else they can refuse access to their premises. Needless to say, it's pretty hard to schedule anything these days if you can't host for a wrestling match and if your opponent can't stay over with you for the night.

That being said, now would be a good time to reminiscence on matches I've had in the past and never had the opportunity to discuss in my blog. I've started this part of the site in January 2015, but I obviously had matches before that.

So let's pick one of my memoerable matches from the Wrestlefest I've attended in NYC: February 2011 to be specific where I fought a fellow pro wrestler who goes by the name of Dark Shadow (id 1978). I remember he was definitely pro-oriented with very little pressure on the holds. His moniker tends to put him towards the heel side, but that didn't prevent me from cheating and occasionally take the upper end and illegally apply more pressure than we are instructed to do so in a pro match. Come to think of it, I guess that's why some wrestlers are scared of me.

Dark Shadow is a very sweet guy (a teddy bear as with most big guys) and you can see from these pics that I was already loving the size difference, wrestling bigger guys, mean bears, pretending I can beat them and snatch their championship belt. Doesn't it look good when a smaller guy seemingly has control over an opponent that is almost twice their size?

I just realized from this pic above that Dark Shadow was really gear oriented as well, because all of his gear matches: black boots, kneepads, elbow pads, wristbands and black masks. Everything goes together! And we all know that black is usually the color of dominant and winning heels.

I guess I really didn't need to say that after my daring (but courageous) attempt, Dark Shadow was obviously able to turn the tables on me and show how a real heel steals the show. Wanna know the funny part? His bearhug may look fierce, but you guessed it, in reality, his bearhug wouldn't hurt a fly.

The big strong heel didn't mind things like those claws you don't necessarily see on TV. Of course, he was glad to show me what other illegal holds he hides in his trunks.

It's matches like these that makes events like the Wrestlefest worth it. If you had one match out of five or ten that was good, then you made yourself a friend whom you can wrestle again in the years to come. You can't be a perfect fit with everyone you meet. Undeniably, some matches will go well, others will be bad and a little handful can go extremely well. You can't have a good chemistry with every wrestler, but if you do find one, then do hold onto it so that you stretch the fun and develop a good wrestling comradeship.

That being said, would I go to the US this year for another long overdue wrestling event? Unfortunately, probably not. Going across the borders is currently still limited to essential travel and I do believe I need to respect the measures for another year. Even in Montreal, I tried reaching for another wrestler to schedule a hotel match just to be scolded and being told that I need to be a more responsible citizen and follow what the experts are telling us. Hey, I'm not a microbiologist, a doctor or a nurse to be able to tell how bad it really is in the front lines. I did at one point have strong thoughts of doing volunteer work in a hospital to do my part of the fight and help reduce the strain on the system, but someone living with me is a person at risk, so I'll have to put that thought aside for now.

Anyhow, my match with Dark Shadow is still listed under Match ID 94 if you want to see more.

I'm also looking back at the date... February 2011... It's been 10 years! Wow, I was young back then and I didn't have the belly I have now. The sanitary crisis has been tough for everyone and I've been lazy, but that's not a reason for me to try and continue to train as much as I can to get back in shape.

Monday August 24 2020 - Marty and GTRecent matches
I had two matches this week-end, each separately. While getting at the hotel, the elevator is limited to capacity of one, we wash your hands once we get in, both me and my opponent are staying safe overall. Plus none of us has attended a super-spreader event.

It's been a year since I had not wrestled Marty (id 6169). He actually took the initiative of contacting me to ask me how things were going. He gained a little 5 lbs in his belly that is barely noticeable. I told him I like it anyway. It's nothing like the 10 lbs I gained...

Marty was much more of a heel this time around, taking control, which was a bit strange because I see Marty generally as a jobber. I guess confinement has awoken and refined his wrestling senses.

After a few bouts, I could feel Marty weakening, so I took the opportunity to put him in my arm scissors with gut punch combo. He loves gut punching so this is the perfect hold for him. You can view a video in [ Clip ID 398 ]

In the evening, GT (id 233) came over and he kindly shared a couple of holds with me (even though he doesn't wrestle). Again, a very good sport. I personally think the mask goes very well with his hairy chest and belly.

You can see him give apply a head scissors under [ Clip ID 399 ]

GT didn't mind showing the strength of his legs. Being confined as well, he invested some time exercising on a stationary bike at home. GT can be taught a lot of stuff and he'd accommodate most styles and scenarios. He's very flexible.

The pro gear also suits him well, although next time, i'll make sure to make him wear boots as well. It should give him a meaner look.

Thursday July 16 2020 - Confinement picsGear
So these are my first profile pictures since the confinement in March. Yep... I've gained another five pounds unintentionally. Working from home and eating junk definitely doesn't help my cause, but I guess some wrestlers won't mind the extra pounds.

I've also finally found these green trunks. I was looking for them like crazy! This is what happens when you clean up and move: you dig out and find long lost old gear. I'm not complaining! I love these trunks!

Notice the background? I've decided to try out this new Neewer muslin collapsible background clamped onto a Mountdog 2m x 3m photo backdrop stand that I recently purchased... It makes the pics a little bit more professional and it gives a punch to the image. One thing I've learned is that mounting stands never come with a backdrop. They are each sold separately so they can screw you and empty your wallet.

So.. this first pic of this new set is me simply putting on my gloves and getting ready for this photoshoot.

Once I've successfully geared up, I now become a completely different person: a wrestler doing his clichΓ© pose for his wrestling promo.

With that out of the way, how about somewhat of a neutral standing stance? Well... with my clenched fists, I guess I don't necessarily give an aura of trust, but what are you expecting from a Loserboy whose only goal is to conquer the wrestling world?

This would be the equivalent of an arrogant Loserboy saying out loud: "You talking to me? You think you can beat me?"

And last but not least, I'm ready with my attack stance to rough you up and show you who's the boss! (or perhaps who's the jobber? It really depends on my opponent's preferences really!)

I'll be able to experiment with this backdrop and vertical mount some more in the weeks to come. And luckily, with the de-confinement slowly progressing in Canada, I'll be able to schedule maybe a match or two by the end of the month... or maybe in August?

Thursday March 26 2020 - The usual...Gear
I've worn these before, but instead of displaying them in a cramped room, you get a better view from a more open space. It's amazing how the environment/setting completely changes the perception and the overall look of a pose.

This one has become my main profile photo for now. I admit that when you try to "not-to" center a picture, it gives a different effect.

Here's a difference stance with my blue and black trunks.

This is the first picture I've taken with these elbow pads. It's quite different... it gives a funny feeling. I guess I won't know the benefit of its protection until I wrestle in the ring again (one day) with them. I bought these because my elbow was feeling two weeks of pain after I incorrectly landed an elbow drop in a pro match.

Last, but not least, I've entitled this pic: "Have a punch!"

I've always loved these gloves, but this has always scared a lot of people away.

Well that's it for now. I'll continue to dig and go through my old archives while we all wait for the world to spin...

And for the record, I took these in February before the lockdown.

Monday November 18 2019 - 5 new clips :) Yay!Video clips
So I often get complaints that I don't update or add anymore clips.

Well.. here are 5 new clips for y'all.

Let's start with [ Clip ID 389 ] where we get the mighty VTWrestleFun (id 11021) giving me a mighty bearhug. I do also have one where I slap on him my own bearhug, but that will be for another time.

Next up, I posted a clip specifically CanUWrestle (id 13567) who just can't get enough "Arm Wrestling" videos. Since I've never posted any before, I figured I'll upload the one I made with Elrac (id 692) (who by the way is also an arm wrestling lover). This can be viewed under [ Clip ID 388. ]

Sylvain (id 2636) and I did this one in 2017 when the ring was still available. I pulled on him this figure four and he magically managed to reverse it on me in [ Clip ID 387. ] Usually, you need to flip over your opponent, but for some reason, that didn't give me any pain. It's when I flipped him back that the pain settled in... with his slap on the boot. I really have no idea what happened. I didn't even thing it was possible to make someone submit in their own figure four!

In [ Clip ID 385, ] we have a small gut punching session where EvilDark (id 1077) is sitting on top of me throwing one punch after another. We were actually wearing helmets and other head gears, but it was actually too warm for me, so I ended up removing it. You can notice that EvilDark is still wearing the V-Force head gear because there is a cord/clip hanging... I admit I uploaded this clip mainly for A-L-E-X who has a special in his heart for gut punching. I just need a little reminder later to send him a link to the video.

Lastly, we finish off this string of videos with [ Clip ID 384 ] where the conspicuous Eman (id 2668) tires to withstand a barrage of gut punches. With my strategic arm lock with arm scissors combo, there is really no escaping. We can see he can't take much of a punishment unfortunately. You will notice my somewhat light disappointment of Eman's endurance in the clip.

I hope you guys will enjoy this clip. Make sure you take the time to rate them so I can know what types of holds I should upload next. Thanks!

Saturday September 28 2019 - HouboxerVisitors in town
I had the honor of meeting to meet HouBoxer (id 3955) who came all the way from Houston, Texas. We've arranged several meets previously, but he had to cancel due to various issues, so I didn't really think he'd show up this time until he started confirming flights and hotel reservations in the past few days.

When I left the house en route to his hotel, it only occurred to me afterwards that his name ends with "Boxer" and that I probably should have brought in some boxing gear as well. As I found out later, HouBoxer does some real boxing/sparring, which I've never done before. I asked him if he could train me one day. Sounds like very good cardio. I explained that my style is mostly receiving the punches and trying to resist them as long as I can, but I wouldn't be opposed to learn the real style.

HouBoxer's profiles are very stingy in terms of information, so I had to look back in our messages to determine what are his wrestling preferences. We started with pro wrestling and he asked that we wear our masks. We had entrances and wrestler annoucements just like the real thing on TV and we locked up with the bell and referree as background noises emitted from his phone. Hey, it adds a bit of realism.

The strength he puts in his holds and the moves him employ indicates to me that it's stiff pro rather than pure pro fantasy, where at least some pressure and sometimes, increased pressure is used just to tease your opponent. HouBoxer did tell me that I could have executed my moves with greater force. I should have clued in earlier since boxing probably increases HouBoxer's resiliency.

HouBoxer showed me he really knows a great deal of holds, many of which I would not have cooperated with other wrestlers. I of course had to rack and scissor him.

Later on, we switched to submission, but we kept our pro gear on. Instead of putting the mattress on the carpeted floor, we added a blanket instead. The knee pads and elbow pads we had gave us a good form of protection against the harder surface even with a carpet on. Since it's been a while HouBoxer last wrestled submission-style, I went with a more defensive approach, letting him again be on the offense and conserve my energy.

It made me realize that pro-style is actually more tiring for me, because you're up, moving around, locking in, groaning and moaning and it's quite some work. Whereas sub-style, the one I used in our match, was less tiring because I was in energy conservation mode and would resist most of the time. I'd attack only when given the opportunity.

We wrestled for several hours, took it easy by taking large breaks in between, did a bit of back and forth. I brought my camera, but I felt that he was uncomfortable with the idea, despite us initially using masks and despite him telling me it was okay to bring my camera. So, in the end, I left my camera in my bag. In those cases, I would prefer he'd tell me in advance that pictures aren't his thing, that way I wouldn't have to carry all the extra crap like the tripod, the camera bag and all its underlying components. I also should have clued-in considering that most of his photos have the face removed. I'll be more careful next time. I still wish I had something to watch to remember our encounter.

HouBoxer is only about 10 lbs heavier than me and to my own surprise, I can make him submit in my bearhug, heheheh. I spent the night at his hotel and gave him another big warm bearhug before I left. I admit that if I was closer to HouBoxer, we probably would wrestle each other often.

Tuesday September 24 2019 - Some back and forth with Super JobberYou got mail
One of my past opponents asked me to include this on my blog. This is what happens when a jobber talks with another jobber.

Super Jobber: Do you ever wear those speedos I gave you in a match? I hope so. They are very hot on you.

Loserboy: I never wore it in a match because they only look sexy on you lol.

Super Jobber: Are you nuts? Much sexier on you........as you know i am a sort of a speedo freak............i wore blue and white striped ones swimming this morning, i got them from a guy at the clash (he brought a shit load of them there and we got to choose whichever we wanted for free).... It's weird swimming in speedos knowing that you wrestle in them as well! its sort of freaky walking out to the pool in them wearing flip flops because that is the same thing I wear in the ring and i get sort of hard!.......my deepest confessions to you!!! I just think the gear is part of the sexiness of the wrestling, especially in pro....I meanits just like swimming where you are standing there in front of a crowd that is watching you in the most minimal of gear........and if you have the right body shape you can rock it..........just part of the thrill for me I guess, sort of crazy eh? But I know you love gear as well....when I am with you it is more about the sexiness of it because you are so hot........i know you are more into tests of strength which is just not me.... And you sort of put up with me because I am not your ideal big bear like creature you crave.... but thanks for indulging me :)

Loserboy: I agree with you to some extent :) I do love gear, but I tend to love more the pro gear nowadays. The kneepads, boots and elbow pads give me some sort of boost or confidence and strength in the ring :) What makes you think I like bears? ;)

Super Jobber: HAHAHAHAHA..............most of your matches are with BIG HAIRY guys.....I think it is your desire to "slay the big hairy creature" and show that you are the ALPHA male, the stronger one........wimpy, smaller guys like me are no test for the GREAT LOSERBOY, I must totally bore you.........i had this really hot Asian tag team partner a few years back, was into matching gear with me and wrestling barefoot, taped ankles the whole bit, total jobber, even worse than me, never fought back.....so hot, thats what i seek yet again.....

Loserboy: Super Jobber, if you bored me, I wouldn't have rolled in the ring with you in front of everyone that year at the Clash of the Titans :P

Super Jobber: True, but I don't present a real wrestling challenge to you was my point, I am not your "ideal" opponent....

Loserboy: You don't know need to be a real wrestling challenge. If you like wrestling, have a passion for it, and have a good personality then I will wrestle you :) And you do like wrestling and have a passion for it and you have a great personality :) And you probably know that I am more of a jobber than the heel that slay the big hairy creatures :P

Super Jobber: You a jobber? C'mon, you had me fooled! Too bad you are so far away, I could attack you right now :)))))

A pep talk between jobbers usually ends up with someone being a heel. You can't really have two jobbers losing a match in a ring. Well okay, maybe there are things like double disqualifications.

And honestly, I've wrestled guys that are smaller than me too. Sometimes, they are as fun as slaying the big hairy guy.

Sunday June 2 2019 - Quebec: After 6 monthsRecent matches
My last match with EvilDark was actually in December 2018. We usually meet once a season, so I'm way past due. Our last winter has been brutal so I didn't want to risk traveling where trains, buses and planes are the perfect places to catch another cold/flu strain. Luckily, summer is at doorsteps, so I took a quick train ticket and spend a week-end in Quebec City.

I've decided to walk a bit from the train station to my friend's house, but I accidentally lost the new elbow pads and one of the trunks I've just bought because my bag was open. Stupid and silly me. I've learned not to dwell on it. It's just gear that I can buy again.

For the first time ever, I am now officially heavier than EvilDark. He weighs 160 lbs and after eating his soup, I was weighing 165 lbs. Ooof. I guess that now makes me the heel, which is obviously something EvilDark would never accept. Incidentally, to make fun of it, he started rubbing my belly and calling me Buddha... rubbing it would grant him a wish: the wish for the St. Louis Blues to beat up the Boston Bruins in hockey in the Stanley Cup finals. That unfortunately didn't work because the Blues lost 2 to 7. It's only the third match of the series though, but Boston now leads 2-1. I guess rubbing me gives you bad luck.

Anyhow, EvilDark kindly took me out for a bike ride along the St. Lawrence river for a 22 km (14 miles) hike. We were lucky enough to do this on one of the best sunny and warm day this year. Yet, it was not too warm, not too cold, and we had a nice breeze to cheer us up and move us along. It's not the distance that was a challenge though, it is rather Quebec's steep inclines, large hills that makes pedaling up and down quite a workout. EvilDark also purposely took this road to send me a subliminal message that I need to take advantage of this hopefully beautiful summer to lose a couple of extra pounds.

Back to his place, we switched to wrestling gear and tumbled around. My previous match with Scontca allowed me to understand better how to apply figure-four head scissors. That little rotation or tilting to the right does wonder. That being said, I've probably put EvilDark in his longest head scissor session than I've ever did in the past 15+ years we've known each other.

One thing I really appreciate from EvilDark is his constant creative thinking. He always find new ways to torture me. Take this cobra clutch body scissor combo for instance. It is an absolute heavenly thing to be crushed in...

You can take a look at the video in [ Clip ID 374. ] Evildark really shows you how to make the most of a good body scissors. You'll also see my hysterical laugh from the pain... yeah, I know, I'm weird, but the pain you get from body scissors is something that makes me laugh. If you do a quick release, it will cause a pain spike. Your ribs are then sore for a short amount of time. There can be a long term impact if not done properly, but EvilDark is a scissor expert, so the pain is almost always short-term.

We also tried something a bit different: I've put on the Phantom of the Opera theme song and EvilDark squeezes me in a body scissor at the same level as Christine's intensity of her final chant. Actually, the higher her pitch, the stronger the scissors. Near the end, the pitch goes quite a bit high... It's quite funny. It's better to experiment about it than to read about it obviously.

The week-end went very fast and the next thing I know is that I was back on the train towards Montreal. I've suggested to EvilDark that he comes up to Montreal next time so he can have a match with Sylvain (id 2636) and Vicious (id 5128). Maybe I can get Marty (id 6169) in, too.

This last pic shows that I've already arrived in Montreal's central train station.

So what am I doing now? Writing this blog entry, of course, before I forget it... By the way, this is the longest my hair and beard has ever been. It takes 2 months to grow this, that's because of my genes obviously. I'm trimming and shaving it all down in 2 days.

Monday May 20 2019 - Masks of nightmare...Gear
Yeah.. I continued my shopping spree and got another set of chinless masks... but I am really not happy with them.

They are pretty cheap, they were from a site called Mr Mask Man, but you get really what you pay for. They don't really look nice on me and they are really big. I suppose this is a good thing considering that it will fit the face of several of my opponents... yeah, big opponents.

The symbols and the colors actually match some of the football teams, but I don't think it really matters. I bet no once will notice it. The Navy Blue one is from the San Diego Chargers, the green one is from the Philadelphia Eagles and the Orange one is actually for the Cleveland Browns. Don't ask me why it's Orange if it's supposed to represent the Browns. Maybe the logo designer couldn't tell the difference of colors.

It's not so much the masks that was the problem, but rather the trouble I had to go through to get them. They are shipped from Mexico via UPS. I wasn't home to receive them and there was custom fees to pay. In Montreal, when this happens, UPS ships them to a far remote location that requires a total of 3 hours of commute time using public transportation (90 minutes to get there, 90 minutes to go back). Lucky for me, I used Uber. I was just thinking that with today's technology, they could have just shipped this to any of the Montreal UPS service points located downtown for me to pay the fees, but no, those service points can't handle those fees. Urgh... bureaucracy as its best.

Anyhow, these masks ended up costing more than the ones from eLucha. The big difference is that the quality of the masks are really sub-par compared to eLucha's. So much for trying to get a bargain... Actually, it'll teach me to try to get a bargain.

Yes, I look silly wearing these, but then again, I didn't bother to lace them up. I need someone to do it for me because I'm lazy.

Next in my shopping list is elbow pads for pros. The amount of time I've injured my elbow doing elbow drops finally made me realize why so many wrestlers are using them. When your elbow reaches the ring mats instead of your opponent, it hurts. Not fun. Yes, padding please.

I know what you might think: Wrestling is not like rollerblading. No... Wrestling is actually more dangerous than rollerblading!

Would I need shoulder pads as well one day? Only if I want to look like a football player.

Sunday April 7 2019 - Another gear shopping spree...Gear
Yeah, I went crazy again and spent another big chunk on another set of new gear. This batch came from eLucha. Their equipment is pretty expensive, but the gear they provide are of top notch quality and they last quite a long time. It's thick, rigid and looks like pro. I think I saw Wrestler 4 Hire use the same trunks in a couple of their online matches, so it must be one of their suppliers. It's with reason: you won't be afraid that your wrestling trunks goes out ripping while you are being stretch, slammed, thrown and squeezed incessantly on the ring. It also hides your crotch better than most of the stuff I buy online. Some wrestlers would probably complain about that, but meh, you can't please everyone.

This one technically does not count because it's an XXL size trunk on clearance. You guessed it: it's not for me, but for a big heel wrestler that's probably going to pound the lights of my jobber side, if of course I am not asked to heel instead. You can see the extra space I have for this pair of trunks. It's pretty baggy for me.

This one is new in the sense that I've never tried this pattern or type of trunks before. It's purple and black with white lines. Considering the darker colors, I suppose this is another "heel" trunk, hence the pose.

"You are next! And I will defeat you!", says the wrestler wearing the gold and black trunks. Although you can also say it's Yellow/Black. I actually started wearing these in my match with RasslorBear a couple of days ago. With boots, they are actually pretty nice and this may be my favorite trunks of this batch.

This is the exact same thing, but in blue. I'm trying a different stance just to break the routine, but I know.. it's still pretty clichΓ©. Who cares? I also have another exact pair like these that are green and black, but for some reason, I think I lost it.

Last, but not least, it's important for me to get a hold of another chinless mask. If my opponents are sporting some facial hear, then I need to see that lovely beard.

I was too lazy to tie up the mask... it's hard to reach for the laces from the back and it's much better if someone helps you with it. You'd see however that I wasn't too lazy to set up my do-it-yourself home studio again, but that's because I had to hide the mess in my room. A pair of boots there, a dirty sock and perhaps an underwear with some stains on it... What better way to conceal all of that crap than with a nice navy blue background?

Saturday April 6 2019 - D28383 and RasslorBearRecent matches
I got in touch with D28383 (id 8921) again and I remembered not to pass the opportunity to ask him what his pseudonym meant. He told me it was just a bunch of random letters and numbers with no real meaning. It is made as such so that nothing links back to him. His personal identity and privacy is of upmost importance, so he tries to leave the least amount of trace and visibility as possible. To be young as he is and be on constant guard about how fast information spreads does make a contrast with most people our generation who nowadays posts everything online. I guess I am to blame too since I'm typing this and making it accessible to everyone, but I'll reiterate that my site is a small hub that is not as mainstream as Facebook. Chances are that if someone outside the usual circle falls on bearhugger, he/she most likely would hit the 'Back' button if that is not in his/her list of interests.

Anyhow, despite his concern his privacy, it didn't stop us from sharing a scissor session, from the side of course. I still prefer my scissors applied from the rear or from the front, but you can't have everything. I also brought my boots and he agreed that the extra grip it gives does make the scissors stronger. He showed me a very interesting thing to measure the power of your scissors: he took a scale, wrap it in between his legs and he started squeezing. The scale would go up to 280.. maybe even 300 lbs! Yeah! 300 lbs of pressure! I tried it myself, squeezing that scale, but I couldn't go above 220 lbs. Either his body scissors are stronger than mine, or I am not wrapping the scale the correct way. Nevertheless, I thought it was a very good idea to use a household device this way.

In my objective to try to wrestle more frequently and on a regular basis, I asked D28383 if he wanted to meet more often, but he suggested that we stay on "play by ear" basis. In other words, contact each other whenever we feel and go from there.

Btw, D28383 also stands in computer jargon as a hexadecimal color in web pages. Hence, this makes this pseudonym an ideal one to hide and dissimulate your identity in search engines.

RasslorBear (id 3872) and I saw each other at Clash 20, 3 years ago. We both saw each other, but we both didn't find the courage to talk to each other. Oh the irony! I got in touch with him later through MeetFighters and we ended up having chats like these:

Nothing is lost really, because if you make new friends after the event, it is never too late to wrestle. The event still helped you make that new connection that you probably wouldn't have had otherwise. As such, RasslorBear kindly initiated the first step to make our meet happen. During spring break, he made a series of wrestling travels and his last flight stop is Montreal.

Hummm... I have to say that RasslorBear is definitely the biggest and sweetest teddy bear I've met. He has the build of a massive heel, but deep down, he has the heart of a jobber that would not even hurt a fly. His style is light pro or medium pro with moderated pressure (not too much pressure or pain). I knew our personalities would match as soon as he uttered the words: "You'll find out that I get amused by the smallest things." He giggles a lot, just like I do and he doesn't mind my... umm... animal sounds.

I'm known to wear very silly t-shirts. He stops me and tells me: "I love your t-shirt! I want one just like that!" That's a pretty good compatibility sign that shows he is young at heart and that is quite playful.

RasslorBear is doing great. He gets my seal of approval.

RasslorBear loves pro gear so he wrapped on his boots, put on his trunks and donned his red mask. Lucky me, not only is he a gear lover like I am, but he's also a pic-taking lover. We each placed our cameras and we've each let those devices do their magic. I personally like this shot when we were putting ourselves into position. The best pictures are usually those that are spontaneous and that you were not prepared for it.

When we were actually ready for our tag team flex, I realized a bit too late that I was actually hiding him. Silly me. Yes, I'm a klutz and an idiot.

No, we are not part of the same team because it was just the two of us, but I would definitely love to be in his team. Classic matches usually dictate that the big guys go with the big guys, but rules are meant to be broken in wrestling, so one day, this tag team of ours should have a big guy and a smaller guy.

We traded a few holds here and then: here's RasslorBear putting on a reverse headlock. Overall, we took it easy because I didn't want to wind him out. After all, RasslorBear spent the whole week traveling by plane from one destination to another.

He's around 350 lbs, so I didn't want to risk it with the rack. Instead, I opted for the safer alternative that you guys all know is the Fireman's carry. However, you can see down below that he wasn't so sure about it and reached for the mattress with his hand. Sensing a bit of struggle, I couldn't keep him up there for more than two or three seconds.

Bearhugs and scissors were out of the question because I couldn't wrap my arms around him, nor could I wrap my legs either. I guess those holds would just make the Great RasslorBear laugh.. or giggle.

We went to a couple of restaurants. One task on his to-do list was to try Montreal's smoke meat. We went to Dunn's for that and he soon realized it's really just brisket, which he told me has several different names depending on which state you go. We also tried Stash CafΓ© and Deville Bar. I did the silly thing of bringing him to the Montreal Science Museum, not knowing it was entirely for kids, but we hung out a bit in the old port of Montreal afterwards, watching large chunks of ice break apart from the St. Lawrence river as temperatures start rising. Ah.. spring. Finally. I apparently made him walk a lot.

Having the short term memory that I have, I asked him twice this trip why he would wrestle me considering that his type is usually also bears. RasslorBear answered that personality overrides his physical preferences. Awww...

We met and wrestled on Thursday, Friday, and did our touristy thing on Saturday. He would then have to leave on Sunday at 2 AM in the morning for his plane back to California. I gave him a nice big hug.

Considering that he traveled all the way from California to Montreal to meet and wrestle me, I should be returning the favor. A return trip to San Francisco is due.

Saturday March 30 2019 - New masks and a pair of trunksGear
Why do I even bother buying masks considering that I seldom ever wear them anymore? Well.... that's because they are not for me: they are mostly for my opponents who prefer to conceal their real identity when pictures are taken. And you'd have to admit, behind those masks, anyone would look like a completely different person. Who's this guy anyway?

I got these new masks from Spandexman. Normally, I'd get them from eBay, but for some reason, the price for such a rare commodity has spiked up by a large margin recently, so I've decided to look and shop around. The mask was described as a "Mocha wrestling mask with black accents". Give it any fancy name you want, for me, it's still a brown mask. The second one I got is entirely black.

It does make me look like a retard... or maybe your local shoplifter. I'm just kidding! Truth be told, I think this get up makes me look more like a big bag heel rather than a jobber. Perhaps my stance and facial expression adds to that sentiment.

I was also looking for my old MMA gloves.. the red ones. For some reason, I can't find them anymore. I must have given them to someone. After all, trading or giving away gear is somewhat a form of bonding and recognition or affection between wrestlers. I could only find these black MMA gloves, which I've used in a couple of matches. The trunks I'm sporting are new as well, also from Spandexman, but for some reason, I felt they look better online. They are a bit tight on me, but they're still nice anyway. I guess you can call me a gear whore.

Yeah, that's the "Look at me, I'm gonna beat you up!" stance again. It's probably the kind of picture that would scare most wrestlers away. Here's one that's a little bit more inviting:

It's as if I was saying: "Hey, wanna come and join the wrestling party?"

I didn't bother cropping the last one. Why? Because now you get to see my lazy do-it-yourself improvised home studio I was trying to set up. If you go back to the previous images, you'll notice that cropping really does some awesome magic to the overall look of your pictures. What equipment did I use to create this ghetto studio? A queen-sized dark blue bed sheet and two clothing pins.

Sunday March 24 2019 - KevwrstlrRecent matches
That feeling of embarrassment you get when a wrestler you have previously fought reaches out to you and for goodness sake's, you cannot remember the person or the match at all.

That's exactly what happened when Kevwrstlr contacted me. He sent me a picture, then he referred to an old hotel in Montreal, and only then, the pieces of the puzzles started to shape together although everything was still blurry. It also doesn't help when our last meet was... 11 years ago. He is originally based in Toronto.

Anyhow, we scheduled for a week-end together. I did the mistake of bringing all my gear when I soon realized his gear is quite a bit different. I brought in my boots and masks, when the hotel setting doesn't really allow us to use the boots and we weren't going to record anything, so I could have left the masks at home. Also, because of a past injury in his lower back, it also meant that I should not be applying scissors. So, we stayed with basic horseplay.

I continued with my stroke of bad luck when I invited him to a semi-Italian restaurant, thinking it will fulfill his fondness for pasta, but the seating arrangements and the little space between tables made him uncomfortable. He prefers a restaurant with a bit more open space. I also learned that he doesn't eat chunks of beef (steaks), but hamburgers are okay. He eats little fish (tuna and halibut) and have other dietary preferences. I guess I should ask more questions before I treat someone out.

Kevwrstlr's also has his share of bad luck when snow and rain overwhelmed his week-end. The only thing I could do to avoid being drench was to make him visit the Montreal underground.

We still spent a good amount of time together chatting, catching up and wrestling. We didn't do much of the latter, but you know, a little bit of wrestling is still better than none at all.
