I learned the hard way that boxing gloves deteriorate over time... not necessarily through wear and tear, but by long time exposure to warmer temperatures and just having them idle seems to damage them over time. The leather on the gloves just crack depending on the quality and type of material. Both my former MMA and boxing gloves were lost because of this, so I bought myself some new ones.
These are my new black MMA gloves. I had the boxing shorts for quite a long while ago... so no, those are not new.

I do have a couple of wrestlers that are also into boxing. Mind you, I never did an active sparring match. What I think I would do with these gloves is simply a give and take format, meaning my opponent stands still and I gut punch him a few dozen times and my opponent does the same for me. I don't have any boxing training, so it's just play/fun-boxing for now. ð
If an uppercut or face punch was used, I probably just pull & receive fake ones, because I can't really really show up to work with a black eye or some broken teeth. ð That... and my boyfriend would probably not allow me to go wrestle & box ever again. ð
