Thursday December 22 2022 - Punta Cana, Dominican RepublicTravel matches
I just returned from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I went with EvilDark (id 1077) for one week in an all-inclusive resort really just to relax. We went to the Iberostar Grand Bavaro.

I've been to Cuba and Mexico before on multiple occasions, but this is definitely my first time in DR. I've decided to let my friend choose the location and he chose wisely. It was initially supposed to be around Christmas time, but we decided to choose two weeks before because the prices were a lot more reasonable. (The prices were jacked up 2x for the last 2 weeks of December and boosted to 3x in January because most people are tired of the snow πŸ˜‚)

Our decision paid off since we avoided the chaos at the airports that caused plenty of cancellations during the holidays. We could have still be stranded today in DR had we went any later.

EvilDark was slightly unlucky because his luggage was delayed by 3 days and he was the only one in our flight who did not received it. Luckily, our carrier gave him an accommodation credit card for his troubles. The bad side to it was the he must spent the entirety of the amount in DR.

Despite this, we had a great time overall. I spent most of my time chilling on the beach or inside a tent-like structure near the resort's pool. I went from beach to pool after I started receiving about a dozen mosquito bites. πŸ˜‚

I stayed in the shade most of the time. I wasn't looking to get tanned and yes, I did have to occasionally wake up at 7 am to get good seating, even though my resort was probably filled only at 25% capacity to avoid overcrowding.

The resort was attached to lower star resorts somewhat connected to the same franchise and you can see kids and lots more crowd and noise. I did go to the gym for half the days there trying to lose the extra weight I would accumulate in this trip. I wore this t-shirt, but nobody asked me to give them a bear hug. πŸ˜…

EvilDark and I did box and wrestle a bit, but that was not our primary focus. Here's a shot anyway of him putting one of my favorite holds: The Cobra Clutch with Body Scissors.

The only time we actually tried to have a match and record videos, we were interrupted by reception finally giving EvilDark his luggage, so we ended up doing a lot more bloopers than wrestling videos.

I was able to test during this trip the image and video quality of my Pixel Pro 7. I had to replace my old LG G6 because it was ruining most of my recordings. Overall, this new cell definitely has top notch image quality. Way superior than the LG, about equal quality to the Nikon. As for the video quality along with screenshots that you can extract from it, it's slightly sub-par to my expectations. It's still better than my Panasonic camcorder, but somewhat much lower in quality than my Nikon. Then again, it's maybe me who doesn't know how to use this device's camera properly. There are so many settings that it's pretty easy to get lost.... even for a techie like me. I am actually bound to lose that title soon. πŸ˜„

We attended the daily evening shows where there quite a few cute guys. Here's a shot of performer dancing to Y.M.C.A. πŸ˜…

EvilDark also spent a few instances here and there to watch the semi-finals and the final of the Qatar World Cup.

DR's food is not good as Mexico, but definitely better than Cuba. On the other hand, the beach is better than Mexico, but definitely worst than Cuba. πŸ€ͺ Of all the restaurants offered at the resort, the French one was definitely our favorite.

Adding a note that I wrestled Shantig7 last month. We did our regular play wrestle and he's still the cute little cub that I love to manhandle. πŸ˜…

Saturday November 12 2022 - My first boxing helmet :)Gear
I just got my first boxing helmet recently and I thought I'd share a pic or two. I have to admit that both Zephyr and FighterFromPH have influenced me to get one. Their primary interest is boxing, but they don't mind other forms of combat sports.

I always wanted one of these helmets. They look pretty sexy. Now, all I need left are those leather groin protectors to go with it πŸ˜…

The helmet is kinda big and it's partially hiding my eyes. I'm not sure how people actually box while wearing these clunky contraptions... πŸ™„

Taste my uppercut!

I then went and did a bit of Photoshop to mirror those Super Punch-Out intros. It looks silly, but a bit of fun doesn't hurt anyone. πŸ€—

I sent this to EvilDark (id 1077) and he highlighted the fact that I said that no one lives through my Super Punch to tell the tale, yet my record is 7-11... which technically means that 11 opponents lived through it to be able to tell the tale... or they never saw my Super Punch because I did not have the opportunity to use it. I was probably knocked out before I could land it! 😜

Monday April 4 2022 - Shantig7 and EvilDarkRecent matches
I had a rematch with Shantig7 a couple of weeks ago. He had a match the day before, so we went with a bit of light wrestling. We've also reached the point where we can just trade hold and relax and take it easy.

Shantig's schedule has been pretty busy as of late, but I think he is seeing the lights at the end of the tunnel. Based on what he told me, we might be able to wrestle more often than once every 5-6 months.

I believe we also wrestled in September, but I had forgotten to take note of it. We were supposed to meet in December, but we delayed it due to the restrictions that were imposed in our province.

This week-end that just passed, I did my annual visit for EvilDark by train to Quebec city. Consciously, I think my brain told me it was time because I checked afterwards when was our last visit and it was exactly in April 2021, so exactly a year ago.

He's a bit more optimistic than last time. He's going back out, to cinemas, restaurants, hanging out with friends. We binged watched Squid Game, Power of the Dog and Parasite. We also watched a hockey match where the Canadiens won 5-4. EvilDark absolutely abhors the Canadiens due to their history of taking most of the sponsorships from the Nordiques and draining them of their financial support. As a result, this forced the team to be traded to the US, where they were renamed to the Colorado Avalanches.

Anyhow, we still had time to lock body scissors on each other and trade a couple of holds. He still has a firm grip, but a bit less powerful than the previous times I met him.

I'll continue to do my duty and visit him hopefully more than a yearly basis, but I did ask him if he can come up during the summer so I can hook him up with other wrestlers in Montreal.

Saturday April 17 2021 - Clip time! :)Video clips
Yep, it's time for a couple more clips.

First up is a small gut punching session I took in January 2018 with EvilDark (id 1077), which you can view in [ Clip ID 411 ]. The real purpose is really to show how to use an arm and a leg to immobilize your opponent. With you free arm, you are then free to punch as much as you want provided that your opponent loves that. πŸ˜…

I've stumbled upon matches that I made with FantasyFeak (id 4223) back in February 2016, during the NYC Wrestlefest. It's a full nelson with body scissors followed by a dragon sleeper body scissors that can be viewed in [ Clip ID 412 ]. I guess I still had my old camera back then, because the video and sound quality isn't as good as some of my recent videos. I do believe FantasyFeak wrestled for BG previously. He has an inner heel and a good soft spot for pro wrestling. You'll notice here that the legs for the body scissors isn't properly positioned for optimal damage, but then again, this is pro fantasy. It's the difference between pulling your legs inwards to try to squeeze or stretching your legs outwards. Believe it or not, the latter actually makes the scissors more effective.

I did not realize VTWrestleFun (id 11021) was such a great racker. He was able to lift me without a support or stand. I just wished he would spin less around because I do like to see his face, his beard ... and uh... his belly. πŸ˜€ You can tell that I wasn't expecting him to throw me and to jump on me afterwards. The match was held in October 2018 and you can view the video in [ Clip ID 413 ].

I suddenly remembered lately that MustangCowboy (id 11699) has asked me to put up the video of me racking him. It was not available previously because he wasn't comfortable in showing his face, but that seems to have changed just recently. Lucky for us.

Taken in June 2017 during the good times when the ring was still available, you can check out this rack in [ Clip ID 414 ].

Only the first video has a login and voting requirement. I didn't want to make most of my visitors panic and flee if they see me maniacally punch an opponent with a sadistic grinning face, enjoying every ounce of pain I am inflicting to my archnemesis. 🀣

Monday April 12 2021 - EvilDark and Shantig7Recent matches
I've decided to take a leap of faith. Cases have been going down and I haven't seen EvilDark (id 1077) since June 2019. I took the train to get from Montreal to Quebec city and fortunately for me, there were only 7 passengers in my wagon (which would usually host 40 people at full capacity). EvilDark has instructed me not to eat in the wagon, but I've decided to calm him down by supplying him a picture of my empty train environment.

I spent a nice weekend. We wrestled very briefly, caught up with the stuff we missed in the last 2 years and he made me visit a couple of parks and scenic areas. My mission was mainly to cheer him up, but I do feel that he is really fine on his own and that his morale was steady.

Things have changed, he removed his profile from MeetFighters. He believes society will pay 5 years before normalcy. I do trust him because he has experience in this domain, but I tried to argue that humanity will be able to turn the page: we've had the Spanish Flu a century ago. It took a few years, but people started going back out to restaurant and cinemas again. Festivals and parades returned. Whatever happened became a thing of the past. People forget.

Anyhow, we've traded quite a few body scissors. His scissors were still strong, although slightly less effective, but most probably because of the extra weight I gained. 🀣 On the other hand, he is still weak as ever against my scissors.... and I took the opportunity to sneak a few submissions on him, enjoying every ounce of his difficult time with me. πŸ˜‰ EvilDark complained that he doesn't defend well against my scissors because apparently he doesn't hold his breathing like I do when he puts me in a scissor. πŸ˜‚

2 weeks after, I went and met with Shantig7. We've contacted each other back in October 2020, but we've held off our match until things became better. As the clouds in the horizon started to dissipate, Shantig7 and I agreed that it was safe to have our first match because we both work from home.

Shantig7 would describe himself as a jobber, but he would fight back if requested. This spunky cub is actually fun to tumble with. Young and enthousiastic, this 27 years old wrestler will do his best to take you down. He is still a beginner, but with the proper experience and training, I do believe he can be a very powerful opponent.

In this particular match, we wrestled on his bed and I had forgotten to bring my straps so we horrendously spent a significant amount of time placing back the bed sheet covers on his bed. Nonetheless, we had our fair share of fun where I would lock him in one hold after another, or teasing him with a leg lock while putting my hands behind my hand telling him I can beat him without my arms. He is quite flexible. Camels, crabs and reverse deathlocks take quite a bit of pressure before he'd feel anything. Shantig7 agrees with em that racks don't hurt... until you move up and down.

He boasts a strong lower body, so a good scissor grip. Unfortunately for him, scissors are my favorite thing, so he could give me all the scissors in the world and I would smile back at him, thanking him for a great massage. On the other hand, I would assume he wasn't prepared to receive my body scissors. πŸ˜‚

He is a fast learner though and was very eager to learn about the different wrestling styles and holds out there. I tried explaining to him as much as I can. His fondness for wrestling also started around the age of 13 with a match on TV.

Shantig7 is an avid traveler. His great adventures overseas are overwhelming and shows that he does not hesitate to take risks and brave the unknown. He is very comfortable with his nice, handsome and compact cubbish body. In fact, he showed me one of his mugs that says: "I ❀ Carbs". I felt that was very cute.

He is of Turkish descent, with a little mix of Armenian traits from several generations ago. I would imagine he's the first Turkish/Armenian wrestler I have ever fought.

A rematch is in order, so we will hopefully be talking again soon. This will give me the opportunity to train him and make him a better wrestler than me eventually. 😊

As I write this today though, Canada has begun going into the third wave and have surpassed the US in some regions the ratio of cases per million inhabitants. New restrictions were put in place and curfew was set back from 9:30 pm to 8 pm.

If there's anything that I've learned from the current situation is that you never know when the world changes completely, so you really should wrestle before you can't anymore.... while being careful and taking all the necessary steps to ensure safety of course. πŸ˜‰

Tuesday November 10 2020 - Torture racking time!Racks
I've been fighting with a ittle shoulder pain that flares now and then... it unfortunately means that I need to use the computer less often because it's that "hold-the-mouse" position that seems to make it worse. In the meantime, I can post these torture racks for you guys while I wait for my shoulder to naturally heal through regular exercises.

This rack down below a bit of a cheat. It comes from my match with The Champ which you can access through Match ID 37. The Champ himself took pro training classes for a couple of years. He is now retired, but I will always remember fondly my matches with him.

Size difference is one of my major weakness: It's convincing and fun to see a large guy racks a smaller guy. You can also access this one online through Match ID 11. Curiously, I think I've never written his weight down because in his case, it was changing fast.

The best racks visually are in the ring... probably would help if there was some spotlights too, but I should stop whining. This one shows the Great EvilDark (id 1077) caught in the rack, unable to escape!

Finally, we have the one and only MustangCowboy (id 11699) in trouble! Bent over in a deadly submission, MustangCowboy fights on and refuses to give up! We took this quite a while ago, but he was a bit reluctant of posting any images that shows his face. Then suddenly, he recently changed his mind and asked me if I can post them.

Racks aside, I am lucky to say that I have been wrestling lately on almost a weekly basis. Trust is the key: in these tough and dark times, find someone you can trust and keep your wrestling fire running as much as you can.

Wednesday September 23 2020 - Another round of video clipsVideo clips
It's time for another round of video clips to help us get through the 2nd wave.

I'll start with a nicely applied camel clutch by the Great Marty (id 6169). See how he locks his fingers onto my chin in [ Clip ID 403 ]

Next up is good old EvilDark (id 1077) who shows how to prance his head scissors in rhythm with music. You'll see that I get pretty annoyed: the clip actually shows you a very good and effective way to break free of a head scissors. This unfortunately usually only works if you are shorter than your opponent's height. See [ Clip ID 402 ] for details.

The one and only Suggs (id 3009) is one of the few brave souls that was able to withstand my signature full nelson body scissors and lived to tell the tale. Yep, he's one of the few that did not submit. You can see his achievement in [ Clip ID 401 ]. In case you're curious, at the beginning clip, Suggs proudly says: "You have to remember that I'm letting you do it!"

Last, but not least, the Mighty and Powerful Crusher (id 1228) shows his mastery of the bearhug! ... Actually, I'm teaching him how to give a good bearhug and then he tries it on me. All of this under [ Clip ID 400 ]

This last one is the only clip in the bunch with a voting requirement. The rest is free for all as long as you keep it for yourself and don't post it elsewhere. Thanks!

Tuesday June 9 2020 - A couple more clips :)Video clips
Surprise! I have a couple of video clips to share today.

I'll start with another clip with EvilDark (id 1077) holding me in yet another cobra clutch with body scissors combo. The lighting here is much better, so maybe it'll give people a better idea on how to apply this hold. As you may have noticed, turning sideways helps a lot with the pressure, makes the hold more effective and will most likely make your opponent tap. What could probably have done a bigger difference is if EvilDark was wearing the boots instead to allow him to have extra pressure and leverage. Anyhow, this can be viewed under [ Clip ID 394 ]

Next up is an old archive clip that dates from 2017 when I still had access to the wrestling ring provided to us by Bella. This is technically unused footage from our Match 2 Rematch. Anyway, Bella, along with the ring, had these... uh... I guess punishment boards? You tie your adversary up and you can then whip them or gut punch them. I'm pretty sure you are wondering: aren't these a common sight in a torture room? If so, why are they here near a wrestling ring. Meh... wrestling and torture aren't that far distant apart after all. Marty (id 6169) was intrigued and also pretty happy to be the victim here. Despite his mask, you can sense that he is happy deep inside receiving hits after hits. Watch his rise to ecstasy under [ Clip ID 395 ] Β  Marty simply loves to show off how much his abs can take.

This next clip is actually a blooper clip with The Crusher (id 1228). I guess he was under estimating the type of pressure you need to take when you are caught in a full nelson body scissors. I might have went a bit too hard a bit too fast. Watch him laugh it off under [ Clip ID 396 ]. Crusher is definitely a great guy all around with a nice personality. He actually wouldn't hurt a fly.. and yes, he is actually just a teddy bear...

Last, but not least, we see the great and formidable Cubby (id 4578) unleash his fury on Loserboy with a mighty and unescapable bearhug! His strength is demonstrated in [ Clip ID 397 ] Β  Would it hurt to say that Cubby is also an extremely awesome guy and one whose mission is to protect the world from bullies. This is also why he is known as Super Cubby!

I hope you guys will enjoy this clip. Please rate them to let me know that I should post some more.

Tuesday April 28 2020 - Reverse bearhugsBearhugs
Reverse bearhugs can be as fun as lifed frontal ones if you do them correctly.

Here's one taken in May 2015 where The Mauler (id 2963) tests his strength against the pitiful Loserboy. I'm not entirely sure, but I think he was also grabbing me... you know where.

This one was taken during our trip to Mexico on December 2018 with EvilDark (id 1077). There's actually another one very similar to this one, but the difference here is that we are not wearing any masks or helmets. Each time I see this speedo (or squarecuts or underwear, whatever you want to name it), I am reminding myself not to wear it ever again, even though it does match well with the orange wristbands.

Now, how about it's my turn to give a crushing blow to a helpless Cubby (id 4578)? Deep down, we all know that behind this terrible suffering, there is a happy Cubby inside. This was taken in November 2018.

Last but not least, I suppose this doesn't really count as a bearhug... Maybe half a hug with a groin grab? I'm sure Phil (id 5843) doesn't mind it.

This one dates back in 2014. How time flies... I am so longing for a match right now...

Please stay safe.

Sunday March 22 2020 - Two head scissors and two racksVideo clips
While I was updating the site, I took a little break now and then to send a few messages to wrestlers. One of them was telling me that he loves head scissors, especially triangle head scissors (or figure-four head scissors).

That made me realize that I actually don't have that many head scissor videos. I actually had only two and they were locked, so I added 2 more.

In [ Clip ID 393 ], you get to see the Mighty Suggs (id 3009) demonstrate the power of his python thighs when he squeezes them together. Don't believe him when he says he lost some strength, because they pack a mean and powerful punch. You'll see a vein popping up near my forehead that clearly indicates that I'm trying my best not to submit.

Next up, I have a triangle head scissors (also known as a figure-four head scissors) that I applied on EvilDark (id 1077) in [ Clip ID 392 ]. It gradually shifts into a regular rear head scissors afterwards.

There's a repeat rack (or a rack round 2) from The Crusher (id 1228). He personally chose the mask, but it was a cheap one so it kinda shifted right while he was racking me.

He is also demonstrating his power by squatting me while racking me at the same time... You'll find this secret clip under [ Clip ID 391 ], but you will have to vote on at least 40 of the other clips to access this one.

Also, if you missed it, I silently uploaded about 3 weeks ago a rack with Vicious under [ Clip ID 390 ].

I fixed up all the locked clips requirements properly. You shouldn't be getting any spurious error messages anymore. Therefore, some of the clip will require that you unlock by voting on pics and other ones can only be unlocked by voting on clips. Simply put, just follow the instructions that appears on your screen when a clip is locked.

Monday March 16 2020 - RetrospectiveSome pictures
I guess I won't be wrestling for a while... One thing I can do however is to look back at a couple of the matches I had during the first half of last year.

This retrospective starts with a match I had with Fighting4Fun (id 7583) in July 2019. This is probably one of the rare match where I was recorded in sub. Normally, when I do sub, I just don't record it at all since it requires a third person to hold the camera to follow the wrestlers tumbling around. In this case, it was AllStar who filmed us.

In June 2019, I had what had become a yearly visit to Quebec city. It was actually supposed to be seasonal, but sometimes your schedule never works out right. Yeah, I should go there more often. I know this shot is grainy and I do realized that my camera has a bit of trouble taking pictures with low lighting conditions. In this pic, EvilDark (id 1077) is applying a body scissors while regulating the pressure based on the rhythm, tone and intensity of the "Phantom of the Opera" song that is playing in the background... Hey, it doesn't hurt to try something different every now and then.

RasslorBear (id 3872) came to visit me in Montreal in April 2019 and he held me in this tight embrace of a headlock. I guess you can tell that I am really enjoying this. It may not look like it, but deep inside, it feels great.

RasslorBear spent a whole week-end here even though vacation are hard to plan in his field. I made him visit a children museum instead of spending more time wrestling him, but I was actually was afraid to wear him down. Little did I know this guy has some good stamina and a big heart.

GT and I had a rematch after a 14 year gap in January 2019, but that's because he doesn't really wrestle. Being a good sport is part of GT's great personality. He didn't mind taking pictures as long as it makes me happy and I get to share his fur with you guys in this full nelson.

I get to pull this reverse indian deathlock on DefiantSub in February 2019. The shot was taken by a kind Wrestle123 (id 8009) who allowed me to share a room with him and have a wrestling rumble week-end.

Never give up. I should hopefully resume a good stream of matches in the 2nd half of 2020.

Monday November 18 2019 - 5 new clips :) Yay!Video clips
So I often get complaints that I don't update or add anymore clips.

Well.. here are 5 new clips for y'all.

Let's start with [ Clip ID 389 ] where we get the mighty VTWrestleFun (id 11021) giving me a mighty bearhug. I do also have one where I slap on him my own bearhug, but that will be for another time.

Next up, I posted a clip specifically CanUWrestle (id 13567) who just can't get enough "Arm Wrestling" videos. Since I've never posted any before, I figured I'll upload the one I made with Elrac (id 692) (who by the way is also an arm wrestling lover). This can be viewed under [ Clip ID 388. ]

Sylvain (id 2636) and I did this one in 2017 when the ring was still available. I pulled on him this figure four and he magically managed to reverse it on me in [ Clip ID 387. ] Usually, you need to flip over your opponent, but for some reason, that didn't give me any pain. It's when I flipped him back that the pain settled in... with his slap on the boot. I really have no idea what happened. I didn't even thing it was possible to make someone submit in their own figure four!

In [ Clip ID 385, ] we have a small gut punching session where EvilDark (id 1077) is sitting on top of me throwing one punch after another. We were actually wearing helmets and other head gears, but it was actually too warm for me, so I ended up removing it. You can notice that EvilDark is still wearing the V-Force head gear because there is a cord/clip hanging... I admit I uploaded this clip mainly for A-L-E-X who has a special in his heart for gut punching. I just need a little reminder later to send him a link to the video.

Lastly, we finish off this string of videos with [ Clip ID 384 ] where the conspicuous Eman (id 2668) tires to withstand a barrage of gut punches. With my strategic arm lock with arm scissors combo, there is really no escaping. We can see he can't take much of a punishment unfortunately. You will notice my somewhat light disappointment of Eman's endurance in the clip.

I hope you guys will enjoy this clip. Make sure you take the time to rate them so I can know what types of holds I should upload next. Thanks!

Sunday November 10 2019 - Local RumbleRecent matches
I invited over EvilDark (id 1077) for a wrestling rumble and invited over four other opponents. Unfortunately, only two other wrestlers were able to make it, one canceled due to family engagements and the one canceled due to the fever he acquired from the flu season. Yes, Canadian winters are cold and terrible.

The two opponents that showed up were Danyboy (id 13730) and Vicious (id 5128). We had a different hotel room, it was a suite, but not as large as the one I usually take. Nevertheless, it was sufficient for our needs.

Danyboy showed up first and to warm him up, I went in first and toggled my submission mode to 50% because Danyboy warned me that he is recovering from an injury. That being said, I think I was mostly passive and defensive, which allowed Danyboy to easily put one hold after another on me... As a matter of fact, here's Danyboy locking one of his favorite head scissors on me.

I later tried to counter his attack by attempting to stand up and giving him a few gut punches. He later told me that he had a bit of a bad experience with punches, so I stopped them... or I switched to very light punches. Yeah, the tattoo on his leg is actually new since the last time I saw him. It is indeed the Olympic pictogram for wrestling. What better way to describe a newly found passion than to permanently paint it on your body?

It didn't take long for Danyboy to get the upper hand and get on top of me to show me his superior strength. Since Danyboy is so modest, he decides to flex once again. This is my third meet with Danyboy and each time, he always excels like there is no tomorrow. He tells me that I am the veteran, but soon, it is obvious that Danyboy will get a lot more matches and be way more experienced than I'll ever be.

These shots were pretty darn good because EvilDark was the photographer with his phone. You'll never get the right angle when you use a tripod instead.

Vicious joined in later. Danyboy and EvilDark took turns into destroying him. Despite the cockiness of Vicious, he is actually a big time jobber. We unfortunately didn't think of taking pictures with him. However, Danyboy does have a rack that he will post relatively soon on his profile.

That being said, we double-teamed and triple-teamed one and another. It was chaos, but it was a magnificent and fun rumble. I think we've noticed that Vicious was the one who endured the most holds, which is very ironic considering that his wrestling handle suggests or implies the name of a heel, but the truth shows that he is a jobber. Then again, my wrestling pseudonym implies that I am a jobber, but I confuse the crap out of people when I do sub and make people tap with body/leg scissors or ankle locks. Hey, you sometimes have to go out of the way to respect the style, right?

Before leaving, Danyboy gave me a pair of unique yellow speedos that was created by one of his private designers he works with. I was speechless. Apparently, only two of these exists and Danyboy holds the other one. I told him that perhaps one day, we will be tag team partners.

I am still complaining though that this shows too much my junk and it probably fits a lot better on a body like Danyboy's. I'll still take and cherish this great gift.

The next day, when EvilDark and I were alone, we locked on a few more holds. I was inspired by the match with King vs Knight and I particularly liked one of the holds that were feature. I'm pretty sure there is a real name for this technical hold, but I only know it as some sort of double leg lock with a chinlock. In any case, I think EvilDark was quite ecstatic about it judging from his smile from this shot.

Strangely enough, I don't think EvilDark held onto the hold very well because I was able to reverse it into an arm scissor... with a few gut punches.

This only wakes up a sleeping giant: EvilDark made sure to apply on me one of his favorite holds: The Body Scissors with Cobra Clutch. I purposely took this grimace shot because I felt it was funny and I was thinking it'll be a bit outside the box of my usual clichΓ© shots.

We took easy because the foursome match we had the day before was already overwhelming. We were kinda glad after all that there were two cancellations.

After I escorted EvilDark to the train station, I went back to the hotel because I had a private appointment with How22arf whom I had wrestled back in August. The difference is that this time, we get to wrestle on a hotel mattress instead of wrestling on the floor! I also get to see his hairy chest. That didn't prevent me from being aggressive though: I kept putting on him my body scissors and my leg locks while instructing him to try different things. He was often using a frontal choke, so I suggested him to try something else.

He told me he had a long day and will be working early the next morning so we kept our match short: only 30 minutes.

He did shave and I told him not to shave for the next time he sees me.

I guess I should consider myself lucky for not getting any aches after this wrestling rumble week-end. I do have minor bruises or what looks like bruises because of my skin sensitivity, but no pain. Good. Maybe there is greater hope that I can still do this wrestling thing on a regular basis.

Sunday June 16 2019 - The Bow and ArrowHold it!
No, I'm not talking about archery.

In my opinion, the Bow and Arrow is one of the most dangerous holds out there. It's both because of the difficult setup it requires to pull it out properly and the trust you need to put on your opponent. The jobber needs to face down while the heel puts both his knees on the jobber's back. He then puts his arms on the opponent's legs and chin, then turns backwards in a 180 degrees flip so that the opponent ends up facing up. If done improperly, you could probably break someone's neck... so yeah, don't do this at home unless you have the proper training for it or that you've tried it with someone who actually know what he is doing.

I've never applied this myself, but I was lucky enough to have both EvilDark (id 1077) and Tycoon (id 2690) apply this hold on two separate occasions.

Here's the one with EvilDark:

The Tycoon actually cheats here by putting his hand elsewhere... but it's not a cheat when your opponent doesn't mind it. It's not illegal either, but then again, you don't really get to see this on TV.

You'll notice that these versions are actually the tame and light versions because my feet are touching the mattress, hence reducing the weight my opponent needs to bear with their own knees. In the real version, you are technically completely dangling in mid-air because the opponent is also holding your feet. So all in all, you need someone who is close to your weight proportionally so that his knees on your back doesn't crush you and you need someone who is capable of holding your weight with his knees. With such complex requirements, it's no wonder you don't see this hold often. Visually though, I'd have to say it's beautiful to see.

Sunday June 2 2019 - Quebec: After 6 monthsRecent matches
My last match with EvilDark was actually in December 2018. We usually meet once a season, so I'm way past due. Our last winter has been brutal so I didn't want to risk traveling where trains, buses and planes are the perfect places to catch another cold/flu strain. Luckily, summer is at doorsteps, so I took a quick train ticket and spend a week-end in Quebec City.

I've decided to walk a bit from the train station to my friend's house, but I accidentally lost the new elbow pads and one of the trunks I've just bought because my bag was open. Stupid and silly me. I've learned not to dwell on it. It's just gear that I can buy again.

For the first time ever, I am now officially heavier than EvilDark. He weighs 160 lbs and after eating his soup, I was weighing 165 lbs. Ooof. I guess that now makes me the heel, which is obviously something EvilDark would never accept. Incidentally, to make fun of it, he started rubbing my belly and calling me Buddha... rubbing it would grant him a wish: the wish for the St. Louis Blues to beat up the Boston Bruins in hockey in the Stanley Cup finals. That unfortunately didn't work because the Blues lost 2 to 7. It's only the third match of the series though, but Boston now leads 2-1. I guess rubbing me gives you bad luck.

Anyhow, EvilDark kindly took me out for a bike ride along the St. Lawrence river for a 22 km (14 miles) hike. We were lucky enough to do this on one of the best sunny and warm day this year. Yet, it was not too warm, not too cold, and we had a nice breeze to cheer us up and move us along. It's not the distance that was a challenge though, it is rather Quebec's steep inclines, large hills that makes pedaling up and down quite a workout. EvilDark also purposely took this road to send me a subliminal message that I need to take advantage of this hopefully beautiful summer to lose a couple of extra pounds.

Back to his place, we switched to wrestling gear and tumbled around. My previous match with Scontca allowed me to understand better how to apply figure-four head scissors. That little rotation or tilting to the right does wonder. That being said, I've probably put EvilDark in his longest head scissor session than I've ever did in the past 15+ years we've known each other.

One thing I really appreciate from EvilDark is his constant creative thinking. He always find new ways to torture me. Take this cobra clutch body scissor combo for instance. It is an absolute heavenly thing to be crushed in...

You can take a look at the video in [ Clip ID 374. ] Evildark really shows you how to make the most of a good body scissors. You'll also see my hysterical laugh from the pain... yeah, I know, I'm weird, but the pain you get from body scissors is something that makes me laugh. If you do a quick release, it will cause a pain spike. Your ribs are then sore for a short amount of time. There can be a long term impact if not done properly, but EvilDark is a scissor expert, so the pain is almost always short-term.

We also tried something a bit different: I've put on the Phantom of the Opera theme song and EvilDark squeezes me in a body scissor at the same level as Christine's intensity of her final chant. Actually, the higher her pitch, the stronger the scissors. Near the end, the pitch goes quite a bit high... It's quite funny. It's better to experiment about it than to read about it obviously.

The week-end went very fast and the next thing I know is that I was back on the train towards Montreal. I've suggested to EvilDark that he comes up to Montreal next time so he can have a match with Sylvain (id 2636) and Vicious (id 5128). Maybe I can get Marty (id 6169) in, too.

This last pic shows that I've already arrived in Montreal's central train station.

So what am I doing now? Writing this blog entry, of course, before I forget it... By the way, this is the longest my hair and beard has ever been. It takes 2 months to grow this, that's because of my genes obviously. I'm trimming and shaving it all down in 2 days.

Sunday May 19 2019 - PreferencesPassion for wrestling
In my travels, I've met people who use wrestling to be able to satisfy a specific condition or fantasy that they really love. I call it "preferences", just to make it look nicer than "fetish" or "fantasy". A friend once told me that a hardcore "fetish" is really a condition that you MUST fulfill in order to come. However, I think that most people are lighter on their requirements and they are flexible: they will usually still gain pleasure through variants or other means.

I'm just listing some of these preferences now to recall some of my older memories. There's plenty more in this list, but I'll stick with a couple few for now.

β€’ Head Scissor Lovers: Perhaps this is the most common preference I've seen in many wrestlers. Some of my opponents only want to be held for a long period of time. Squeezing them tightly until they tap, or remain within the boundaries and limits of submission. Examples of wrestlers having this preference is HeadSqueezeKing (id 5553) [ Entries ], HeadlockMeHard (id 2511) [ Blog ], Headscissorsguy (id 9989), Kevin_Patrick [ Event ] and SubJobber (id 713) [ Pic ].

β€’ Body Scissor Lovers: I could classify myself in this category. I absolutely adore scissors, but then again, I love racks, bearhugs and full nelsons with body scissors. EvilDark (id 1077) falls into this category, but often enough, you have variants where people prefer the side body scissors.

β€’ Gut Puncher and Gut Punchees: Pretty self explanatory. Marty (id 6169) [ Clip ] goes into this bucket, as well as AKRob. Despite the clips, I think both Marty and AKRob are more receivers than givers of gut punches.

β€’ Sleeper Lover: I get a lot of people who wants me to sleeper them until they are KO and I always them that I'll never do such a thing. When dealing with the extremists in this category, I make sure to release much sooner than anticipated. The last thing I want is someone to fall unconscious while I have this applied. For some reasons, I don't have any examples of wrestlers that come to mind right now... I'll try to think about it and re-edit this later.

β€’ Shoulder Riders: While this is not a wrestling hold per say, many look up to wrestling as a great way to be lifted and to be carried around. Shoulder rides are often used in tag team matches as well where one wrestler puts his opponent on his shoulder while the tag team partner jumps from the third rope and performs a lariat. Obviously, you don't see this often in our community, because we try to play safe and we don't have the training to execute such a maneuver. Anyhow, known shoulder lifters are Transporteur (id 5373) and John (anonymized)

β€’ Face Sitters: I'd admit this is the hardest preference for me to fulfill. I've never been really strong on breath control. Some pains are fun, but this is a sort of pain or restriction that is pretty uncomfortable... at least for me. I don't mind sitting on someone's face, but to have someone butt on my face is... something else. You can't please everyone, right?

Nevertheless, most of the preferences I've listed here are easy to fulfill: wrestling is often an excuse to reach that desire. But you know what? There's nothing wrong with that.

Just like a chemical or electric reaction triggered my love for bearhugs while watching wrestling on TV, I find it that the same applies to many wrestlers that I've fought. One wrestler would watch a WWE wrestler apply the face sitter and that's how he got his fondness for this hold. Another one watched a cartoon of a body scissor being applied and that was his catalyst.

Friday January 11 2019 - Blooper: Failed tramplingSomething silly
EvilDark (id 1077) has this fetish of being trampled, which I am happy to oblige since I'm light and it's a fantasy that can easily be fulfilled.

Usually, we do this in an area where the ceiling is low or I have something to grab on to... it's not easy to keep balance on someone's back. Well, this time, I didn't have any support of any kind, so guess what happened?

Test

Yeah, I purposely added the cartoony sound and music.

Sometimes, we have to laugh at ourselves a bit. If it can put a smile on someone else's face, then it's all worth it.

Sunday January 6 2019 - Bearhug Time!Bearhugs
It's as if I don't have enough bearhugs already posted compared to any other holds, according to this chart. Hey, this site isn't called bearhugger.net for any particular reason.

So yeah, it's time for a couple more bearhugs.

We'll start with a bearhug by MarcWrestler (id 3658). I'm trying as hard as I can to resist his devastating bone-crushing bearhug!

I've produced the most content with EvilDark (id 1077) and I wrestled him the most, which is why I have so many bearhugs with him. Am I laughing at his pitiful bearhug or am I in tremendous pain? Truth be told, EvilDark cannot even hurt a fly... He'd be enraged if he read this, hehehehehe.

Here comes a newcomer. BB (id 1215) tries out his bearhug on me. Judging from the bone popping in his underwear, me thinks he likes it. It's either that or he is naturally well-endowed.

But wait a minute, can Loserboy apply bearhugs, too? Well, of course he can! Behold, the great Loserboy giving a bearhug to Backbreakers123 (id 209)!

You'll notice above that I seem to be the one in pain. It doesn't look like it really, but Backbreakers123 (id 209) was actually hitting me with his elbow to free himself from the hold.

And I'll keep dessert for last: The cute Cubby (id 4578) is applying his mighty bearhug (or a nice warm and cuddly embrace).

That's it, that's all for now. I was actually thinking of putting images of holds involving wrestling ropes today, but I got lazy and picked up a few bearhugs instead.

Friday December 21 2018 - PV with EvilDarkRecent matches
EvilDark (id 1077) and I just came back from a trip from Puerto Vallarta in Mexico where we stayed for a week at an all inclusive resort just to relax.

Anyhow, we took a little opportunity anyway to tumble and take a few pics and experiment with the helmets and masks I acquired previously. EvilDark is donning the Master Chief helmet from Halo while I am wearing the Solder-76 half-mask from Overwatch. Yes, I still haven't played any of those games, but who cares when wearing them just looks nice. The one I'm wearing has a CR2032 battery that will light up a red LED line at the eye level. In an attempt to match the visor colors, I added yellow briefs along with orange wristbands and ankle bands.

With all this in place, here is now EvilDark lifting me in a reverse bearhug:

Yes, I know, the gear I'm wearing shows too much of my junk. I don't think anyone is complaining though.

This below was supposed a cobra clutch combo with a body scissors, but I guess EvilDark had forgotten to squeeze his legs... so, here we have just a simple, yet effective, cobra clutch without body scissors.

We of course took pics without masks as well. One of EvilDark's favorite is the head scissors:

And one of the holds he hates the most is the Reverse Indian Deathlock. Notably, he was injured in the past by someone who lost balance and tripped forward as his opponent was applying on him this hold.

The irony here is that I was actually showing him how to apply the hold, so he can lock it back on me. EvilDark locked this Reverse Indian Deathlock before, but with time, it's pretty easy to forget. He was due for a refresher, plus the lighting here in this hotel room is significantly better than my previous recording, so I can now use this new video as a demo for other wrestlers. You can check out [ Clip ID 356 ] to see EvilDark's application of the Reverse Indian Deathlock on me. I'll reiterate that this is one of the moves that requires the least amount of strength to apply. Yet, it inflicts a high amount of pain on your opponent. It is very effective and almost impossible to escape once locked in. Technically, once you know this hold, you'll technically become an unstoppable beast. Applying it in a competitive match is however virtually impossible. So yeah, this is usually a cooperative move.

All in all, this completes all my trips for this year. I think I'll take it easy for the upcoming months.

What about Puerto Vallarta? Don't worry, I didn't stay inside the whole time. I did the usual. You know: the beach, the sunset, too much food. I gained another five pounds and this does not include the upcoming holiday meals... EvilDark and I played quite a bit of Ping Pong. He also introduced me to Billiards, but I honestly suck and need more practice on the side. We saw a couple of nightly shows that were included at the resort, such as 3 Tenors singing, A Michael Jackson show (very typical), a circus, a reggae night, a risquΓ© show and a cabaret.

Here's probably my best selfie clichΓ©. It was taken in the El Centro in Puerto Vallarta at the edge of the Los Muertos Beach (The Dead Beach as per Google Translate).

Nearby is the Blue Chairs, a beach bar and hotel known to cater for the LGBT. Pass the Blue Chairs, the beach is too rocky and underdeveloped for any viable business, leaving this untouched beauty of the nature intact.

This is in contrast with what our hotel looks like. In the background of this silly selfie, you can see the man-made pools and the typical tanning chairs.

You'd think I follow baseball, but no, I just love the t-shirt and the fabric is so soft. What are the Chicago Cubs anyway? Just kidding.

EvilDark insisted that I also add this picture below because I apparently look like a wrestler in it.

I don't know how it makes me look so, but you can ask him. It's just a typical selfie on the beach, but I guess I look mean and imposing instead of smiling.

Care for a wrestling match on the beach?

The red flag in the back is an indicator to let people know that they should not be swimming. Beach waves in PV are known to be rather fierce, high and aggressive. They are strong enough to knock you backwards or make you spin inside the water with a chance of bumping your head on a rock. Technically, it's a "Swim at your own risk" flag. The resort even installed several layers of rocks in order to reduce the impact and strength of the waves, but even there, they were occasionally still too strong or too dangerous for a safe swim.

Anyhow, it does feel quite surreal to be back in Montreal... and going back to work in about two weeks. Sometimes, we need a reality check, but it still doesn't hurt to go out and have fun once in a while. Okay... Maybe I had a bit too much fun with four different destinations, but it really really has been a long while since I made trips like these.

This map shows my overall itinerary, but not in the correct order. Burlington, Orlando, Boston and PV was the order I followed. Also, I did go back to Montreal in between each of the trips to switch out gear and luggage, but also to get a healthy dose of rest and sleep in between. After all, there is no place like home.

Trips are a good way to test your friendship and your compatibility to one and another. I've known EvilDark for 15 years now and we've been through a lot of good times, but we've also been through a few rough patches together. We've stopped wrestling competitively because of our ego and because of our anger. I still remember the time where we landed on the carpet and he'd refuse to let go, but also because I was stubborn and refuse to end the match when he clearly asked politely to end it. That was absolutely our game changer. We've never wrestled competitively to that level ever again. Today, we still apply holds on each other, sometimes, putting more strength than usual, sometimes not respecting our opponent's wish to release, holding him a tad longer, but we ultimately do a bigger effort to be mindful of each other... but yes, there is still this feeling of betrayal or vengeance that will sometimes linger between us when we lock on our wrestling holds. We went to two Wrestlefests together (2014 and 2016) and I got annoyed a couple of times. We think differently or behave inversely on a few things, so you can't expect friendships (or wrestlingships) to be perfect. Sometimes, you make compromises to make things work and continue to get along.

Anyhow, I went to downtown Puerto Vallarta on Saturday with EvilDark and we walked along the long side of Los Muertos Beach. We've decided to take a break by sitting on a bench. A young old Mexican boy approached me. I think he was maybe around maybe 10 years old or younger. EvilDark estimates him probably more around the age of 7. The boy showed me his hand and asked:

- "One dollar."

He was holding a small transparent bag of tortilla chips on the other hand, but I don't think he was selling me those. I reached anyway for my back pocket, but my friend told me:

- "No. You're not going to start that."

I hesitated for a moment, then I looked at the boy and told him:

- "Sorry."

He looked at my eyes, both sad and angry at the same time, then left. (I actually wish here that he'd look at EvilDark with those eyes instead.)

- "How much were you going to give him anyway?", asked EvilDark.

I answered:

- "Just one American dollar."

- "If you do that, every little kid will come to you and it won't end."

I was racked with guilt. I was telling myself, why should I listen to what others are telling me? I could have replied to my friend: "It's my money and I get to choose to do whatever I want to do with it." I looked to my right to see if the boy was still there, but the boy vanished.

Here I am, staying at an all-inclusive luxurious resort for a full week and I couldn't even have the hearts or the guts to spare a single dollar to a boy. It didn't matter to me if the boy was a trap, was poor or was rich. Let karma decide that. There was no other kid around, it was the only kid who asked me for a dollar during my downtown trip to PV. That feeling grudged me during the day. Maybe I'm letting small things like this affect me too much. I sometimes think that events like these are like a sudden flash test in my life and I failed it.

A friend told me that I should not look back. Maybe I can give two dollars to a boy that really needs it in the future. I could give it to a charitable organization, but I'm one of those that believe that a very small percentage of our donations actually reach or help the cause because it is riddled and consumed by administrative costs and other handling fees.

I missed ChicagoPiledriver by a bit. About a week after I left, he arrived in Puerto Vallarta to celebrate the holidays in style. I could have matched my time there with him, but prices for resort are usually quadrupled during that time of the year.

Sunday July 29 2018 - A modest amount of activityRecent matches
Near the end of last month, I had a visit from Ed Scissors from the UK. If you read his pseudonym carefully, you can actually read the pun "Head Scissors" from his name. I actually didn't get it the first few times until he told me about it. Hence, our match was mainly a one-sided, give and take session. I tested out my head scissors of different intensities on Ed. Ed's fondness for this hold is the shifting between a near-submission strength head scissors, in contrast with a regular, non-threatening head scissors with almost no pressure. He's quite a nice guy and you can ask him to do holds in return as well.

I invited EvilDark (id 1077) to Montreal 2 weeks ago to watch one of the fireworks from the Loto-Quebec International Fireworks competition directly at the site of La Ronde, part of Six Flags. The firm ApogΓ©e was representing Canada and they did a fairly good job. I never miss any of these shows. You could say I'm a pyromaniac. No, not in the sense of burning things, but seeing lots of fireworks in the skies.

Nevertheless, we did manage to wrestle a wee bit afterwards. That being said, EvilDark is also a head scissors lover. That would make three people fond of headscissors I've met recently. Maybe in another life, I should have made this page the headscissors.net website instead of bearhugger.net? I went and checked the URL just for fun and it seems that someone has already acquired the domain name.

I also had a short visit from WrestleInMN (id 3305). We only had time for fireworks as well, but he was luckier because he was able to watch the presentation from Dragon Fireworks representing Philippines. It was definitely one of the better display this year. In fact, it was far better than Canada's display by a mile. WrestleInMN left shortly after the show because of his complex schedule, but we've agreed to try to reschedule something in the weeks to come.

You may find the video down below boring.. but being there in person, surrounded by all these fireworks... it's really something!

Last, but not least, BeastMtl (id 10067) kindly invited me for a Just For Laughs festival show with Jack Septiceye. He may be a YouTube phenomenon, but I've never heard about him until now. Jack's show was pretty good: he's a nice comedian and has excellent motivational speaking skills. He was explaining to everyone how he reached his point of life by starting from scratch. I have to admit that, in person, he has quite some charisma, because I went and watched a couple of his videos after the show and there was no way I would, in normal circumstances, follow someone like that online. He is very expressive in his videos. I guess his style is a bit different for me.

I suppose my last two encounters don't really count as wrestling, but I will be following up with both wrestlers for a match soon enough.
