Monday April 10 2017 - Vicious and PhilRecent matches
I figured I'll try this week to post an entry per day. It's not seven entries per day, but it's at least one blog post per day. It's a start and it's better than nothing.

I wrestled both Vicious (id 5128) and Phil (id 5843) over the week-end. I had for them another 2 hour slot I reserved from Bella on top the 3 I had previously. I often merge my meets together, because it is much less of a hassle to bring out my gear each time I have a match and because it is an opportunity for several wrestlers to meet one another. Most motels/hotels won't allow you to bring more than 2 people in their rooms in order to maintain control over noise. In fact, most hotels will threaten to evict you without refund if they figure out that you're 3 people in a given room. Whereas in the ring, this is a constraint that does not exist since you can bring as many wrestlers as you want and the owner couldn't care less as long as you don't damage the property.

With 3 people around, it was easier to pass on the camera and take shots without worrying about positioning, angle or the placement of the tripod. I have to admit that the camera is often losing focus and it takes me more and more time to set it right correctly. When this happens, I need to "aim" elsewhere and take 2-3 shots to readjust the focus. It's probably because I'm not using this camera the right way, but also because I hadn't taken the time yet to sit down to go through the manual and understand all of its complicated configuration and settings. There are probably presets, macros and templates I can adjust to avoid re-configuring the camera each time I turn it on. After all, this is more a professional-level camera than an amateur-level camera.

It's still worrysome because I so do not trust some of this camera's behavior that I now tag along my old Panasonic as a backup. In my view, it is still a more reliable camera when it comes to making non-blurry focused HD videos, but in terms of photographic quality, the Nikon still surpasses it.

Anyhow, Vicious came up with the scenario of having Phil attack him first as a separate chapter. I would then later join in to fight out a worn out Vicious as a revenge from our previous match in a different chapter. Despite the trouble I had with my camera, the shots came out well. I personally like this one below the most. It's a view from bottoms up of the torture rack. I look like a mean heel and you get to see a nicer view on how the body is supposed to rest on the shoulders. When it's evenly spread out like this, it's as if you are simply carrying a knapsack.

I'm going to put that rack as my profile picture and it's probably going to scare the %#&@ out of other wrestlers, but I could care less at this point. Ha ha ha.

This particular boston crab is interesting, because I don't often get to see what's on my back...

And I look like a dracula ready to bite my opponent's neck in this dreadful camel clutch...

The scenario for these two chapters probably won't be written for quite a long while because I still have at least three other sets to work on.

Yes, you'll notice that Vicious here isn't defending much. Despite his profile and his love for dirty tactics, he is a jobber at heart. Later on, Vicious asked me if he can split the fee for the ring rental and if he can cover for Phil's portion. I declined since he previously invited me for supper and covered for me. Besides, his presence there, his participation on the ring and his concerns for Phil made me happy and was more than enough.
