Sunday April 9 2017 - Week-end with Fun4UsRecent matches
I spent time with Fun4Us (id 8822) this week-end.

We first started our match in his hotel room, where I realized that this ox is completely invulnerable to my body scissors. He taunted me with: "Let me know when you have started squeezing." Given my past experiences of over-applying the strength of my holds and wearing me down for nothing (on top of injuring myself at one point), I've decided not to invest any extra energy into it and released my body scissors.

The following day, I rented the wrestling ring for a good 3 hours and he showed me that he was a full natural despite his first experience ever in the ring. He dragged me around like a happy camper. He locked on me holds that very few wrestlers can pull off and was able to show his versatility, improvisation skills, wide array of wrestling holds in his inventory and his ability to easily switch between them, making him an absolutely great heel to work with.

I was able to rack him standing him because of his trust towards me: a struggling body is heavier, but a relaxed body is much lighter. I rarely make exceptions on racking while standing for wrestlers greater than 200 lbs, but trust and wrestling space were ideal at the moment, so I had the perfect formula to carry him around... Plus, I can't miss this quintessential opportunity to show the world my l33t, yet lame, racking skill!

That pic above definitely goes in my Hall of Racks.

You can tell he reads my posts because this hold is very close to the Loserboy's Lock. It's a dragon sleeper with a nipple claw. The final actual hold I use requires the opponent to be on the ground and also combines a groin claw, but this one is a great variant.

This submission is rare, but somewhat familiar: The Million Dollar Dream or the Cobra Clutch. It's actually a comfortable hold to be put in.

And to show off his strength, he lifted me in this groin claw that I can never still figure out the real name for it.

When it comes to holds that I can't even put a name on it, it's because they are out of the ordinary and that I have to do better research into finding their proper name, but also because Fun4Us can come up with holds that I seldom have been put in. I think this is a Suspended Hangman or something of the sort... but I love it too and it looks absolutely great!

During our match, I re-locked on him the full nelson body scissors signature to explain to him that the boots I was wearing gives me leverage and intensifies the strength of scissors. I didn't think it could make him submit, but to my surprise, he gave up and admitted to me that the previous day, he was near submission but faked his calmness as a way to convince me to release the pressure. Why that @#%*! You bet that I re-applied those scissors and tortured him!

Fun4Us apparently visits my blog frequently and he complained to me that I don't update it often enough. So, I asked him:

- "How often should I update my blog?"

He replied:

- "7 times."

- "7 times a week?", I asked to clarify.

- "No, 7 times a day."

Ha ha ha. Given that he had a good solid background in Information Technologies, I tried to explain to him that there is an overhead required to create these posts, but he still insisted that I do so more often.

I was really touched that he drove about 17 hours+ to get up to Montreal. The total count of hours is way more than that because he was stopping at several cities as checkpoints for other visits prior of doing the 17 minimum hours required to get to Montreal.

After our fights, I brought him to Campus, a local gay strip bar, where he had his first experience of men dancing around stripteasing... Incidentally, he had very similar tastes to mine where he was attracted to a dancer that I also have the eyes for. Unfortunately, he didn't want any lap dances. He was not ready for that yet.

We also spent time doing some sightseeing. It was the least I can do: being his tour guide. I made him explore our lame Biodome (an inside zoo), gave him a brief tour of the Village, of the Old Port of Montreal and we went near the Notre-Dame Basilica, a popular tourist destination, but it was closed.

We spent some time relaxing as well. We watched together the Aristocats, a Disney classic I have missed when I was younger. We shared our thoughts, advice and experiences from our life, career, relationships, friends and family. This is where we've determined that we have a lot in common: our childhood, how we grew up, the hardships we've been through, our strong bonds with our siblings, relatives and/or parents which influences the values we pick and stand for, shaping how we behave today towards one and other. Mind you, Fun4Us made a lot more sacrifices for his family, more than I ever did, which makes him a better person than I ever will be. He also have a lot more patience, respect and perseverance than I do.

For a man of his stature, he has actually a high pitch chipmunk voice, which I actually find cute.

Prior of us leaving, he gave me a very big hug and offered me his beanie baby husky, which has a very big sentimental value for him.

It travels with him wherever he goes. For him to be able to part from it and give it to me means so much to me and to him. He sobbed slightly as we parted ways. We spent a week-end together and it felt that we've known each other for years. We built this trust towards each other. It's people like Fun4Us that leaves a trace in your heart forever. It's people like Fun4Us that are compassionate, tender loving and caring that gives me this light of hope on the wrestling community or on the world itself. It's the reason why I still wrestle today. It's the reason why I maintain this site and this blog. You get to meet amazing people like Fun4Us.

You can tell that Fun4Us is going through tough times and that he needs wrestling as a way to control his stress and make him happy, allowing him to go through his everyday life... sharing the same mentality that I have and that many other wrestlers also have.
