Saturday July 1 2023 - Light travel: Saint-Chrysostome and Trois-RivieresBlog entry
I had forgotten to post this earlier. LumberG was on vacation for a week roughly about a month ago and I've decided to accompany him to a small rural area called Saint-Chrysostome. There was a lady there that has kept the 2 geese that LumberG gave away (because technically, it is illegal to keep them here in the city because they are too noisy. If a neighbor complains, the city can confiscate them).

The geese were in a pack so it was difficult to approach them, but the lady has a daughter that trains this cute little duck that we were able to hold. His name is... Ciao! ๐Ÿ˜‚

A few days later, we went to Trois-Rivieres to do a touristy visit into the park of the island of Saint-Quentin. It was nice to get away from the big city and you can really tell the difference in the noise and in the aura that emanates from everyone around there. LumberG and I took a few selfies here, but he's a bit camera shy so I suppose I won't include a pic of him here. ๐Ÿ˜œ

LumberG has quite a few animals to take care back home, so we can't really plan long trips away from them. We are expecting to do more trips like this, mixed with a short distance week-end wrestling trip once in a while. I did tell him that were due for another visit to Ottawa because he loves the guys there. ๐Ÿ˜˜

So I know this is a very douchy thing to do at a gym, but how often do you see someone wearing a geeky t-shirt like this with a Jurassic cat that has ยซ RAWR! ยป written all over?

I mean... most of the time, you'd see shirts that say "Strong, Strength, Muscle, Brute, Popeye's Supplements or Gold's Gym", so why not try something out the box and wear something different?

This cat will beat all brutes, hands down!

I know.. I had a prolonged absence, but I started a new job recently after having stayed at my previous one for almost a decade. I haven't been actively looking for matches lately and I'm giving myself time to get settled to my new position, whatever is needed to pass probation and to be comfortable enough to find enough time to fight and conquer the forces of evil wrestlers at night... eventually!

Saturday July 6 2019 - A skin that marks easilySelfies
This is the aftermath for me when I get my neck squeezed in a head scissors. As strange as it may seems, it's the pressure that make these lines appear. Luckily for me, they go away after approximatively 2 days. If I do have to go to work, I can easily tell my colleagues that "a cat scratched me".

The other side effect is that my ear can become clogged depending on how they were squeezed in the headscissors, then I get hearing impairment for about a week or two or until I use an olive oil over the counter solution to naturally unclog it.

Body scissors also have their side effects even though I'm fondly in love with them: they can leave me with an allergic reaction on the skin level: usually hives around the waist that propagates to the upper side, but it's nothing that an antihistamine pill can easily wipe out in an hour or two. Ah, the wonders of medicine.

I hope I never get allergic to wrestling... Or else, I will really cry a river!

Sunday April 16 2017 - SelfiesSomething silly
Today is my last day of daily blogging... after that, I'll go back to my usual pace of either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly... or whenever I have a match. Having 3 matches last week, I've decided to take a little bit of rest this long Easter week-end.

When I have to go through my archives to look for superficial selfies, it's because I really ran out of things to post.

I am very fond of dogs, but I unfortunately don't own one. I'm too irresponsible for that. Pets require attention and daily care and I'm bad at that, really. But whenever I approach a dog or a cat, my IQ suddenly drops to near 0 and I start doing those "Ooooooh! Here kitty kitty kitty kitty kitty kitty! Come here you cute little doggie..." The dog below is a cute female husky that belongs to my older sister.

For the particular pic above, someone told me that it looks like the dog is eating something else...

I don't know how my sis does it, but this dog sheds so much fur. Your t-shirt and pants would literally be white if you dared approaching or touching this dog.

The pictures were taken with my Nintendo DSi in 2011. You could edit the picture with the device to add silly icons and all sort of things to make you look funny or ridiculous. I used to play Pokemon with this device. I played it night and day, wasting several months of my life, until I suddenly lost my DSi somewhere... After that, I felt so freed! I've told myself I would never play Pokemon again because I am so horrible that I can't control my addiction for silly video games. I still had a nice time with it, though.

Sunday March 12 2017 - Fun with PhotoshopSomething silly
I was talking about this difference stance some time last week. Turns out that I had a little bit of time on my hands today after a match cancellation, so I've decided to play a bit with Photoshop. Yeah, just for the fun of it, but also to explore for future uses. It's killing two stones with one bird.

For the shot below, I simply added two blue flares on each hand and a connecting curving bolt that took me ages to find on the net.

Throwing fire/ice/bolt balls or Hadokens is also very fun. I've always wanted to throw one of those. ...And yes, I do realize that the fireball actually comes from a basketball sport logo, but it's still one of the best fireballs I can find. The bolt one is from a special effect search on Google and the "ice" one is from Street Fighter Alpha 3. I realized afterwards that I should have doubled the size of the ice ball on that last one, because it makes it look like a very worthless spell...

All of this is very amateurish, but it's really just to experiment and to have fun while I'm learning.

It's not uncommon that I add a little bit of silly effects in my match. I usually stick with lens flares, Onomatopoeia (in the style of the old TV batman show in the 1960s) or the traditional balloons to denote a thought or a character talking. I think the first time I really made full use of special powers and lens flares was for my matches with Dr. Monarch. Back at the time, Dr. Monarch asked me to add even more flares and increase their intensity. The following year, I used the same pattern with my match with Bane. For a full use of Onomatopoeias, there's the one that Phil and I coordinated. For balloons and energy gauges, there's the 3rd chapter with WolfJobber.

This obviously does not cater to everyone's taste because it just reduces the seriousness of the match, but most of you know that I just make fun out of my matches anyway, with a very campy and exaggerated style. Most of my matches will however stay within the realms of somewhat... accepted reality in a jobber vs heel match. These effects allows me to occasionally throw in something different. Hey, some people like to post picture of selfies, the places they travel and the food they eat on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram. On my side, I like to post wrestling pictures on my own site, with sporadic random alterations and special effects. To each their own.

Thursday December 29 2016 - Happy Holidays!Selfies
After spending a couple of days with friends and family, I'm having a day or two of rest at home... but it's been a while since I last took a few shots, so I took the camera out and cleared out the living room.

Yeah... yeah.. I'm very full of myself in those last two, but everybody knows that I'm just a jobber who thinks who can beat big guys just to be taught a lesson and eventually submit in the end, right?

I have to admit that I did gain a bit of weight down there... in the belly. I'll try to work it out for the new year, but everyone knows that resolutions aren't worth crap.

It's been 2 years now I've been holding this blog. Thank you all for visiting it. I wish to all of you a happy holiday season. I'll do everything I can to provide many more matches, pictures and blog entries for the coming year.
