Monday June 20 2016 - Writing a bit...In progress
Okay... okay.. I missed work today to give my knee/leg a rest. I've overdone it: the doctor told me that it's probably an overstretched ligament or, in the worst case scenario, a torn meniscus. Not much can be done except for resting and letting time heal it. The approximate recovery time of such an injury is usually 3-4 weeks. Of course, I'll also have to do my best not to force my knee, which probably means no wrestling for a little while.... or else, I'll extend the time needed to recover or make it worse.

I do have an upcoming match this Saturday, but it's a soft one so I probably can still make it. By soft, I'm talking about trading holds, give and take at an intensity of 10-40% of my maximum.

In any case, since I have a little bit of time now, I'm starting to go through the pictures I've took with Ben Monaco (id 5578) and jotting down a draft for a scenarized match. Yeah, I know. This word doesn't really exist in North America, but it does exist in the UK.

I was originally thinking of making Ben Monaco completely dominate me, but after seeing some of the pics where I'm applying the holds, I told myself:

"Man, Ben Monaco really knows how to suffer well.. what a great jobber!".

So, I've concluded that I'm gonna make this match half-half.

Hey, I'm often a jobber, but I can make one mean heel too: for example, I particularly like these racks:

I got this evil look, but the shadow on my face on the 2nd one makes me look even scarier. Don't worry, just talk to the people I've wrestled and I'm very nice in real life. I won't bite. It's just in wrestling that I put on this mean and evil persona, because for the heel, it makes beating me up and performing a revenge that much more fun.

It is weird indeed that I'm all equipped with lots of gear while I didn't let Ben put on anything. Back when we took those pictures, I only had one pair of boots and to be honest, Ben Monaco doesn't need any special gear to make him look great.

Anyway, let's get back to writing now..

I started at 4 pm today and finished around 10 pm... with some breaks in between. Yep, it takes me 4-6 hours to produce a match, write down the lines, upload the pictures, aligning them in the right sections, review the match and perform corrections. It is a lot of work and I admit it's not everyday I have a bit chunk of 4-6 hours to work on a scenarized match. The link is not posted here yet because I sent it to Ben Monaco for approval or editing.

Still, about more than ten years ago, before I had the match interface up and did everything manually through old HTML code, it would take me a complete day to write up and finish editing up a match. Being able to cut the time down by approximately half or by two-thirds is quite significant.
