Monday June 4 2018 - Atlanta Pre-Clash: Fun4Us and Shawty Recent matches
Where to start? Where to start? I just came back from a trip to Atlanta and I've decided to split the summary of my time there in two parts: one for my hotel match with the boys which I will write right now (pre-Clash) and one for the Clash which I will write later. The Clash entry should appear in the next few days since that one will require much more to time for me to write and remember...

I arrived in Atlanta last Tuesday and met up with the Fun4Us (id 8822) and Shawty (id 520) at the Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport a day afterwards (Wednesday May 30 2018). I've previously met with Fun4Us in April 2017 so I gave him a big huge hug. It's been more than a year, but we've kept in touch through the usual online communication streams. However, this is the first time I was meeting Shawty. I've only known him through chatting online. We've known for longer than I can remember: we used to trade wrestling pictures and I certainly remember approving and admiring his many wrestling matches/scenarios which he creates on the site. As you can see with his track record, he loves losing as much as I do.

After catching up and getting to know each other better, we promptly headed back to our hotel where we've unmounted the frame of the bed and transformed it into wrestling grounds for our 3-way rumble. Fun4Us is still the very strong wrestler that I remember. He might even be stronger this time around. I had quite some difficulties managing him in sub, but I felt Fun4Us toned it down for me (been the nice guy he is). My scissors couldn't do much to him, but the ankle lock would work only if I had him low. As for the cheat of a leg scissors using my knee caps, that still worked well.

I then locked horns with Shawty and I realized that I could easily overpower him, so I took Fun4Us' example and reduce my strength just a wee bit. It's not everyday I get to wrestle someone whom I outweigh by 30 pounds and this gave me a clear advantage over Shawty. To his credit, he did manage to make me tap anyway in a couple of technical holds. I always imagined Shawty a pro wrestler, but he is actually a sub wrestler.

We eventually ended up doing some double-teaming. At that point, chaos ensued because the room became a war field where everyone was on his own. You never know if your friend will go against you. We erred mainly in submission and promission, but added a few give and take. The body scissors was often used as a benchmark to gauge our strength and endurance.

We obviously didn't used this hold exclusively. Fun4Us is shown here massaging my back with a camel.

And I am displaying here some tough love to Shawty: little bros like him should remain in a nice and tight headlock.

Overall, Shawty is a fierce fighter with lots of stamina. Give him a few more years and he'll also become a formidable wrestler. I'm sure at his age, Shawty has already wrestled more wrestler than I did.

Later in the evening, Fun4Us had this bright idea to go to a male strip club, similar to what we did in Montreal last year. Atlanta holds many of them and he picked one that was called "Swinging Richards". The name itself cracked me up. At the same time, this would become Shawty's first experience and we really wanted him to break the glass and explore the underground. Let's just say that Shawty wasn't too shy to insert those one dollar bills around a dancer's band or underwear.... He was pretty generous with his ratings on the dancers, then again, I'm sure we'd wrestle almost any of the strippers at these clubs.

Over the next few days, we also spent some fun time at the theaters watching The Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2 and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Call it a breather in between the many matches that were intertwined with our schedule in the upcoming days. Wednesday was our day for all three together and our paths slowly diverged in the days to come. While Fun4Us and I headed to the Clash from Thursday onward, Shawty had scheduled hotel matches during that time: he felt more comfortable with a one-on-one setting rather than an open warehouse like the Clash. That being said, he was still available for two short evenings and wrestled various guys in submission matches at the Clash.

Fun4Us didn't hesitate to remind me to write more blog entries, but then I slammed it back into his face again by repeating to him: the day he writes his own blog and updates it as frequently as mine, then I'll allow him to complain and judge its frequency.

I should mention that Fun4Us gave me a new teddy bear and baptized him as "Beau", which means "Handsome" in French. Here's a shot of me showing off this new recruit in a silly selfie.

I actually look tired here, but after 4 days of consecutive non-stop wrestling plus the travel, I could use right now a healthy dose of beauty sleep. You'll notice you won't be able to rank this picture and that's because I don't want any 1s or 2s out of 10s on this image. This little fellow is a 12 in my book.

Knowing that I do own a collection, Fun4Us had this burning rage and desire to augment it by adding a new cuddly member in the family. Does this new teddy bear have any special powers? Of course it does: his stomach smells like "Cake" and his paw has a button that will emulate his heart beat. Awwwww... I honestly fell in love with it instantly. Beau has other defensive abilities: I used him several times during this trip to warm me up by putting him on my chest while I sleep. The extra padding serves as a dual/triple-layer of warmth and protection. Fun4Us likes to cram the AC of the hotel room to the max while I shiver in coldness underneath the thin sheets of blankets. Despite this, Fun4Us' body is a furnace while mine is a Popsicle.

Incidentally, Fun4Us also has his own collection of plush toys he carries around with him. His Star Dragon by the name of Orville is now his travel companion. I took a sneak selfie of him while he was busy talking to Shawty.

All right, time for me to get some sleep to go back to work tomorrow. It felt surreal being on vacation for one week, but it was certainly needed and it felt nice and good. I needed the rest... maybe wrestling for four days isn't a rest, but it's still better than typing on a computer all day.
