Saturday October 4 2025 - Trip to Italy: NerdWrestler and Graves05	Travel matches
In the last 3 weeks, I traveled with my partner LumberG (id 250) to Italy to various cities: we arrived in Rome, then went to Florence (Firenze), Naples (Napoli), Alife, Salerno, Amalfi, Positano, Agnone Cilento and back to Rome. Despite what the map says down below, we actually traveled by high-speed train with the exception of a flight from Montreal to Rome and from Rome back to Montreal. The trip consisted mainly of the middle south since LumberG wanted to avoid the north... he felt it was a bit too posh to his taste. We did meet in Naples a fellow wrestler by the name of NerdWrestler on September 22. We had a great time wrestling him. Our styles varied between light sub and roughhousing and yes, we later ended up double-teaming him with my partner to add some more spice in our fun. Truth be told, we rotated our double-teaming and actively decided who was going to be punished next. 😅 We actually wanted to invite NerdWrestler for dinner to get to know him more and as a thank you for joining us for a match. Unfortunately, NerdWrestler told us he needed to go home not too late because the subway was closing and some neighborhoods in Naples are dangerous to walk at night. We told each other our goodbyes and I give him a bear hug to which LumberG cringed because I shouldn't have gave NerdWrestler a bear hug in public 😂 ... I couldn't resist the urge. When we were in Rome, we managed to meet Graves05 on September 30. I do recall starting the match first to wear him down before giving him to LumberG. In a group setting, wrestlers had a tendency of going full out so when I saw he went a rougher sub than the light sub we had agreed on, I didn't hesitate to hold him in a body scissors and hold onto his arms to make him defenseless. He then told me that he underestimated me. 🤗 LumberG and Graves05 tangled next and our evening ended up becoming a flexing or muscle worship session, with him and LumberG having similar builds, they did not hesitate to do things like bicep flexes and pec bouncing. 😂 All in all, we had a good cup of fun during our trip. While our matches were limited to two encounters, the purpose of the trip was mainly to explore, visit, do touristy stuff and also to visit LumberG's relatives (cousins, aunts and uncles) in the boroughs of Napoli and Rome. Our fifteen days vacation still went fast, but we were ready to go home at the end of the last week... we missed the comfort of our own home. 😀 On the last day, we had trouble reaching the airport because there was a strike in support of Palestine that caused interruption for buses, trains and subways country-wide. Four trains destined for the airport got canceled before we were able to reach a functional and active one. We escaped the chaos just in time. Regardless, we would still love to visit Italy again in the future. Perhaps a rematch is in order....
