Monday August 19 2019 - CanWrestle, round 5?Visitors in town
I have been busy as of late due to a newborn in the family. I however still managed to sneak in a match with CanWrestle (id 9693) who was in town for pride. He invited me into his hotel which he had already per-disassembled to transform into a proper wrestling environment.

He tells me he never wrestles on the bed without properly dismounting the frame/base and putting the bed on the floor. I replied to him that when I meet guys that don't want to dismount the frame, it is more likely that they are into give and take rather than sub.

We tangled for a little while and later on, AllStar joined us, but he was a bit tired, having attended the Otaku Anime conference during the whole week-end. He even built his own cosplay costume from the Naruto Series which I believe is Kakashi Hatake. Despite being tired, AllStar and I still joined forced to tag team against CanWrestle. I'd have to admit, even with 2 against 1, CanWrestle did pretty well.

CanWrestle suggested that I bring my camera, but he ended up using his phone to take a few shots. For some reason, the way his cell took this triangle head scissors makes it look like it was taken in the 80s. It's nice (in my opinion). Credit goes to AllStar for taking this shot.

Anyhow, you can see that I seem to be either enjoying his hold... or sleeping happily.

When AllStar left, CanWrestle and I wrestled a bit longer and then... at the end of match, CanWrestle suggested something a bit out of the ordinary: he asked me if I could be a reader and run a few lines for a theater script entitled "The Boys in the Band". It's a play by Mart Crowley. Just like wrestling is a passion to many of us, one of CanWrestle's passions on top of wrestling is doing theater work. I never heard of the play before, but he explained to me that this was quite something back in 1968, being the first play that featured gay characters. He was able to memorize several pages of script and I was simply reading the lines of the other characters. I don't think I can memorize more than a page and if I ever had to do this in front of an audience, I would probably forget half the page.

Kudos to CanWrestle to be able to do theater work on top of his usual work and his wrestling passion!
