 | The match starts up with competitive rules: trying to make your opponent submit with, hopefully, any legal submission hold.
Alberto has lots of prior experience in almost any wrestling styles: ranging from competitive to pro, Alberto is an opponent not to be underestimated. Some of you may recognize him from his appearances in JPWA videos.
In the picture to the left, I started locking up with Alberto, but you can already see how he'll be handling the takedown. |

 |  | With a simple lift of my left leg, Alberto easily pulled me up and dragged me down to the mats, with his beefy body over me.
Not that I mind this position.. but if I am to focus on winning the match, having Alberto on top of me on the long run can pose a problem. :') |

Next up are my futile attempts to try to regain control.
As you can see, holding his arms makes my opponent smile :)
Putting an arm scissors may be a little bit better in terms of offensive, but my position doesn't give me any good leverage into doing anything effective with it while I'm still trapped. Alberto's weight over me wears me down gradually, so finding another way to get out is pretty crucial right now. |

So, how about following it up with a head scissors?
I'll have to re-iterate that Alberto is not to be taken lightly. He knows which holds are dangerous and how to avoid them. With a swift movement of his neck and head, he sets himself free easily. He regains control by putting his body forward while locking one arm around my leg to guarantee himself a safe distance with a good defensive stance from my legs.
Yes, this technically disables any other head scissors attempts. |

 |  | Ah, but there's more to it. You don't try a lethal move on Alberto without having him actually show you how it is done accurately.
Alberto makes a rotation here and seems to position himself to approach his legs towards my head.. in preparation for what hold, I wonder? |

Yep, for his own version of a more-than-lethal head scissors!
If you have big strong muscular legs like Alberto's, you'd know how to squeeze your opponent effectively. With no where to go and feeling that much pressure crushing my head, I definitely gave this submission point for Alberto hands down :)
