Description:
Flashback story to when the Phantom founded the Jungle Patrol (ID 473), just like issue 1679 (”Pirate Inheritance”).

Only this time the Bearhugger, ”a Pirate the size of an ox”, has been renamed the ’Strangler’ instead of the ’Crusher’ and unlike the original comic, actually has a solid grip on the Phantom’s torso.

Plot:
This 2-part comic was originally published in 1988 and has been reprinted in #1682 with ”Mandrake’s Bon Voyage”.
