Description:
The Phantom of the 17th Century faced this ’Crusher’ - wide as he was tall . like a bull - arms and chest of granite. Not easy, he decided . . .

”We fight - barehanded - to the death. I have never lost - I crush men’s skulls like eggs . . . ”

He wrapped those arms around me - for a moment I understood his name ”Crusher” . . .

Bearhugger:Crusher/Strangler
Victim:The Phantom

Entry Description:
Flashback story to when the Phantom founded the Jungle Patrol (ID 473), just like issue 1679 (”Pirate Inheritance”).

Only this time the Bearhugger, ”a Pirate the size of an ox”, has been renamed the ’Strangler’ instead of the ’Crusher’ and unlike the original comic, actually has a solid grip on the Phantom’s torso.
