Once logged in, simply go to the Control Panel and click on "My messages".
How long are messages kept before they are removed from the server?
Messages are kept for approximatively 1 year before they are removed from the server. Meaning that a message that you write and send today will be removed from both your sent history and the receiver's inbox one year from today.
What is long version?
The long version of messages allows you to view both the subject and the body of all your messages in your inbox in one go. Simply click on [ Long version ] when you are accessing your message inbox.
How do I get an alert when I receive a new message on my inbox?
In the control panel, you can change your preferences. One of the preferences allows you to enable or disable e-mail notifications. To prevent spamming, only a maximum of one (1) message notification per day can be sent.

How do I get "Verified" status on my profile?
If you have previously wrestled other users on bearhugger.net, visit their profile and add them as users you have previously wrestled. Once at least one user confirms that he has wrestled you, your profile will be automatically marked as "Verified".
How does the "Previously Wrestled" system work?
If two wrestlers have previously wrestled each other, the two of them have to visit the other wrestler's profile and mark him as "Previously wrestled". When both wrestlers do so, they confirm and mutually agree that they have previously wrestled each other and they will be listed as such on their profiles.
Example:
1. User A goes on the profile of User B and confirms that he has previously wrestled User B.
2. User B goes on the profile of User A and confirms that he has previously wrestled User A.
Result:
- User B appears as a previously wrestled user on User A.
- User A appears as a previously wrestled user on User B.
As you can see here, the mutual agreement here is mandatory. Both User A and User B must confirm that they have wrestled each other in order to be listed on each other's profile as "Previously wrestled".
The mandatory mutual agreement is what makes this "Previously Wrestled" system different from the "Favorites and Admirers" system.

How do I check if someone is online or not?
That feature is not implemented yet and there is currently no ETA for such a feature.
You can however make use of the listing of Profiles by last login that is located in the Control Panel to partially determine if an user is still online:
Users near the top of the list have a chance of still being online: they could still be browsing profiles or reading messages from their inbox. If you're lucky, you might even find them in the chat room.
If an user has logged in two hours ago, chances are slimmer that he is still on the site as compared to someone who has just logged in 5 minutes ago.
You can also use the Yahoo Online Status Page which you can also find in the Control Panel. If you use Yahoo Messenger, you will be able to chat with people who are currently online on Yahoo Messenger by looking at the Yahoo Online Status Page and by adding those people on your list. Note that if you are logged in, you will see both private and public e-mail addresses provided that the user in question has decided to reveal his Yahoo e-mail address to members only or publicly to everyone.
If the member has decided to hide his e-mail address or to show it only to favorites, that member's status will not appear on the Yahoo Online Status Page.

How does the "Favorites and Admirers" system work?
It's pretty simple actually: When you add someone as a favorite, their username will appear on your profile as a favorite. On top of that, YOUR username will appear on THEIR profile as an admirer. So, in order to have admirers listed on your profile, other users have to visit your profile and add you as a favorite.
Example:
User A adds User B as a favorite:
- User A has User B listed on his profile as a favorite.
- User B has User A listed on his profile as an admirer.
A few days later, User B adds user A as a favorite.
- User B has User A listed on his profile as a favorite.
- User A has User B listed on his profile as an admirer.
Note that the mutual agreement here is not mandatory. In other words, User A may add User B as a favorite, but User B is in no obligation of adding User A as a favorite.
The optional mutual agreement is what makes this "Favorites and Admirers" system different from the "Previously Wrestled" system.

Try waiting for an hour or two. Sometimes, mail servers take that much time to deliver e-mails. Try also checking your 'Junk Mail', your filters or any settings on your mailbox that could have blocked any mail delivery.
As a last resort, contact me and I will reset your password for you. Keep in mind that I will NOT replace your password with one that you will be choosing. Instead, I will give you a random new password and you will have to change it yourself once you are logged in.

Click on "Search" and enter the state or province. In general, it's better to type just a single word.
You can also enter partial text: typing "New" as your state will return profiles that are in the state of "New Jersey", "New York" and "New Mexico". Similarly, typing "nn" as your state query will return states like "Pennsylvania", "Minnesota" and "Connecticut" because they all contain the string "nn". You can also type state abbreviations. To disable your profile, click here.
The other advantage of disabling your profile is that you can re-enable it at anytime if you ever change your mind.
