Sunday October 13 2019 - Samurai Leg SplitVisitors in town
SamuraiWrestler (id 10716) was in town and gave me a shout for a match.

We've wrestled back in May and his business travels often lands him in Montreal. He told me that he's into bigger guys... but not too big. He's one of the few lighter wrestlers (lighter than me by about 20 pounds) that I've wrestled somewhat regularly.

He remembered some of the moves I taught him to get out of scissors, and it actually made me wondered why I've ever taught him those moves... I guess I felt a bit bad constantly squeezing him that I felt I should give him a chance.

SamuraiWrestler showed me that you can have fun with the very simplest of holds. It doesn't need to be complicated. It just needs to take advantage of the limits of a human body. You'll realize that this easy-to-apply leg split strikes the right chords in me. Simply have a look at [ Clip ID 383. ]

After our match, we ended up watching on TV the beginning of a movie with Seth Rogen and that's when I asked him if he'd wrestle a guy like him and that's when SamuraiWrestler told me: "Too big." I casually responded: "Seth would definitely be one of my types." That being said, I'd still wrestle SamuraiWrestler any time.

Thursday May 23 2019 - Scontca and NJW77Recent matches
Scontca (id 6823) got in touch with me a day before his visit to Montreal. I normally miss these sort of matches because it is a bit too last minute for me. I also didn't think he was serious because we did try to meet on February, April and June of 2017, but our conflicting schedules prevented us from initiating that match. However, the stars aligned themselves because we however managed to respect our engagement.

Scontca tells me that we actually met 15 years ago. I went:

- "Oh... I really really do not remember."

I felt like a real idiot again.

He told me he was working out back then and he was disciplined, weighing around 130 lbs. As years went by, he let go of himself a bit and now he is at 170 lbs. No complains from me. He has the perfect slightly bearish shape in my honest opinion.

He is definitely an avid fan of head scissors, but more importantly, figure four head scissors. Long held submission hold was the style we adopted. All things considered, I believe he is more of a jobber, but he was happy enough to show me his power by applying both head and body scissors on me. Very good leg strength!

My head scissors specialty are always the rear ones, but Scontca took the opportunity to show me how to apply the figure-four head scissors properly without hurting myself. When done correctly, it is very similar to a sleeper.

While we wrestled, I recognized some of the tattoos on his body. A little, yet very blurry, flashback hinted that we might have indeed met before.. but honestly, 15 years is way too long for me to get a clearer picture.

I asked him what his pseudonym stands for, perhaps that could help me better unlock a few more memories. It's actually ScOntCa or "SC Ont CA". The first two letters represent a shortened form of his name, while the other two portions are indicative of his location: the province of Ontario (Ont) and the country of Canada (CA). I guess my equivalent pseudonym would be LbQueCa, although I personally find that just putting the city is probably better (LbMtlCa od LbMtl or LoserboyMTL).

To this day, I still don't know his real name or his career. All I know is that he travels a lot and he seems determined to protect his privacy, probably because of his line of work. Meh... I'm fine with pseudonyms.

Last thing I should note is that he can withstand pretty well leg scissors (which is very rare) and I think he enjoyed my nice good old bearhug.

Sometimes, I wonder if I mix up people. I also wrestled NJW77 recently whom I've initially known as SamuraiWrestler (id 10716). I think this is Round 7 now. He comes to Montreal pretty often for business. Not that I have any complains about that. He is getting stronger or at least, he's getting skillful. I have to admit that I had a slight back pain from my last match, so his body scissor ended up being very effective on me. He also learned how to apply the leg scissors correctly with the kneecap, which is pretty devastating. I probably unleashed a big amount of decibels each time I'm on the receiving end...

One thing for sure, he's as ticklish as ever. He did warn me not to touch his armpits and kissing his bicep actually tickles him too, but then again, he blames it on the current state of my beard.

Monday October 29 2018 - SamuraiWrestler + BenRecent matches
SamuraiWrestler (id 10716) is technically a regular now. I think we had 6 matches in the past 3 years. It's not that much, but we've known each other well enough to recall quickly our strengths and weaknesses. It didn't take me long to determine that he still can't take my scissors.

I started taunting him like how a past wrestler taught me:

SamuraiWrestler: "Your legs are dangerous!"

Loserboy: "Not at all. My legs are harmless. I am harmless like a sheep."

SamuraiWrestler: "Yeah, right!"

And guess what? He needed to update his profile pic, so I finally took my camera... but I forgot my tripod. We had to improvise a bit, but lucky for us, putting it on the table and adding a few random knickknacks to adjust the height was good enough.

So, what you'll get today is the usual, because I suck at coming up with new holds.

My evenings are never complete without breaking someone's back.

Behold my worthless bearhug that does no damage!

He told me though he loves red gear. So I guess I should wear this red trunk again in my future match with him.

It's great that business brings SamuraiWrestler to town. Apparently, he's coming back next month again for additional business matters. Silly me though, I don't recall what is his work domain.

He was also very nice and gave me this wrestling mask. I guess he doesn't like it anymore. Hey, I'll take anything to grow my private wrestling collection.

Please don't mind the speedo in the back... I just washed and hanged it on the shower cord in the back... Don't mind either my Skynet t-shirt.. or the silly face I'm making.

The low quality of the picture comes from the camera of my tablet. It's really not meant to take pictures.

Usually, I try not to make matches with people who don't have a profile pic. I however corresponded with Ben (id 4427) since a little while now, and sometimes, you can get a pulse on whether or not you can trust the person on the other end. I took a chance and we've decided to meet up for a match anyway.

Ben considers himself a beginner, but he seems to know a bit what he's doing. He mentions that he watches a lot of the stuff online... you know, BG videos and Naked Kombat stuff. I don't consider the latter much as wrestling, but meh... to each their tastes.

We did a bit of light submission and I tried to be passive with him, so that he can experiment on some of the holds. I toned it down a bit as I noticed he'd put a lot of intensity in holds where you don't need to apply that much strength, exhausting himself quickly. I explained to him that he'll learn with time and experience and that he'll quickly understand and gauge the pressure he needs to apply in his maneuvers. I told him that the holds I applied on him are borrowed from the different wrestlers I have came across.

I was a bit mean and I was also being a bit of a showoff. If I ever caught him in my body scissors, I would just put my arms behind my head since there's no need for me to use my arms. We switched a bit to pro because he really loved the rack and he asked me if I could put him in it... twice. Headscissors also seems to be his cup of tea, as well as schoolboy pins. We ended up limiting ourselves to one hour since he needs to take it easy as a beginner. Hopefully, we'll have a rematch in the future.

Sunday October 29 2017 - BeastMtl, SamuraiWrestler, Fighting4funRecent matches
Despite my busier schedule than usual (mainly because of work), I managed to slip in a few matches in with BeastMtl (id 10067), SamuraiWrestler (id 10716) and Fighting4Fun (id 7583) this month.

I still can't do much against the ox that is the unbeatable BeastMtl (id 10067), hence his nickname. I have to admit that I was quite ashamed that after all these years, I couldn't remember his real name... So, this time around, while he guided me into his place, I quickly glimpsed at a framed certificate or diploma he hanged on the wall to permanently engrave in my small brain a few bits of data... I also marked it down so I don't forget ever again.

In terms of wrestling, we took it a bit more casually since it wouldn't be fun for him if it was a completely one-sided match. I still try to defend and make it as hard as it can be for him to make me tap, but ultimately, his strength and skill still surpasses mine by far. I still need to learn to make my sleepers correctly, because it is his favorite hold and I still can't master it yet. My fear of hurting people with a sleeper prevents me from doing it right so I always end up switching back to scissors... which still doesn't make him budge.

We also watched a couple of episodes of Overlord, his favorite anime. The little touch of comedy in this series always makes me crack. The protagonist is this strong overpowered character, but you get to hear and feel his softer side.

Anway, this match I had with BeastMtl was about 2 weeks ago. I forgot to record it earlier.

Last thursday, my match with SamuraiWrestler (id 10716) was our fifth encounter and I carefully revised the weakness profile I created for him last time. However, he got a bit stronger and quite a bit more technical. Nevertheless, when I wrapped him in my scissors and made him tap, he responded with:

- "What is wrong with those legs?"

He also asked me if I gained some weight. I responded "yes" and while he tumbled me around, he said:

- "You're like a little bear."

Oops... not sure how I should take this. First time I ever heard someone call me a bear. It also means that I need to watch myself very carefully.

I'll conclude this entry with a match I had today with Fighting4Fun (id 7583), but let me bring back a bit of history: we lost contact for a while. I was mostly dodging him due to a bitter experience I had when I visited him in Sherbrooke city a couple of years ago. Sherbrooke is about an hour and a half by car from Montreal or two hours by bus. Fighting4Fun was (and still is) the owner of the WrestleAxe organization. I have to admit that I felt a bit unwelcomed when he told me that if I had not showed up in Sherbrooke city, it wouldn't have made a difference because he has access to an arsenal of wrestlers that he can cherry pick. I'm not sure that's the wisest or most pleasant thing to say when someone does an effort and spent two hours to get to your location. The little ounce of arrogance and disdain in that tone suggested to me that I was probably better off staying in Montreal.

Years however heal old scars and wounds, so I've decided to let the dark feelings dissipate. Fighting4Fun was coming to Montreal anyway. He confided in me that the straight submission wrestling industry has changed drastically over the years. People go on YouTube and all they do is type "Submission Wrestling". They are then rewarded with millions of videos... for free. Individually owned wrestling submission sites that work on a monthly subscription fee model becomes less profitable given the competition of mega monster-corporations that are the social media networks. Why bother paying when you can get much more content for nothing? This is where I felt that Fighting4Fun was back on Earth after floating into the upper hemispheres for a couple of years. He was himself again, the guy with the right attitude that I prefer to wrestle.

Anyway, Fighting4Fun was still as tough as I recalled. He can make me tap pretty easily. He's still nimble, strong in his arms and can toss me like I'm a feather and can get out of any holds I dare to put on him. I can make him tap in scissors, but ONLY if he lets me. If he goes into a full defensive, full throttle competitive mode, then there's absolutely no chance for me to wrap him between my legs because his flexibility, endurance and experience just makes me an opponent that is way below his advanced skill level. Practice makes perfect and Fighting4Fun had lots of practice over the years.

His holds are very complex and they consist of maneuvers that twist and bends my arms while evading like an expert my legs. I can't count the amount of times he made me submit in a triangle choke with my arms wrapped against my neck.. or with the deadly UFC-style armbar. Truth be told, I had a lot of fun with him and I'm glad we renewed again our wrestling comradeship. I didn't thing I would last long against him, but our chemistry was right and we both had a strong desire to make each other submit. At times, we took it chill because I told him that he was constantly on the defensive. Sometimes, you need to relax too and take it easy.

He did ask me: "Who's the strongest?"

I've decided to give him my ounce of revenge by telling him: "Definitely not you!"

Lucky for him, a couple of submissions were enough for me to change my mind. Nevertheless, given the the intensity of our bout, I look forward for a rematch and perhaps I can find one day a way to genuinely lock him a surprise submission without having him diligently give it to me for free.

Wednesday April 19 2017 - SamuraiWrestler, round 4Recent matches
SamuraiWrestler (id 10716) was in town again today, mostly for business, but we managed to slip in a match.

I had forgotten to take a look at my previous encounters with him, so I couldn't really pinpoint and shape him in my head. He doesn't put a face pic online so my recollections of him are always fuzzy... until he opened the door of his hotel room. Then, all the missing pieces of the puzzles were there. Everything came back and my head sort of immediately brought back to the front my previous experience with him through some sort of automatic wrestler scan.

Having the above in memory, I didn't hesitate to exploit it to the maximum, being the evil Terminator that I am. SamuraiWrestler was however in an advantageous position because I was at 70% of my strength. I caught a cold since Monday, but he has accepted to wrestle me anyway. He told me it's been a long while he has caught a cold, he takes preventive measures to protect himself: an apple a day, daily yogurt, daily run and many other good habits that I should also follow, since he's a pretty good example compared to me.

This is what I needed though.. at this weakened state, I needed an easier match and SamuraiWrestler was overall nicer. With now our fourth encounter, we pretty much know each other well enough. He hasn't forgotten to use his elbows to break away from my scissors, which still did not completely prevent him from tapping one or two times anyway.

We've developed this complicity and this is when you know that you've wrestled long enough someone to be comfortable with them, to talk with them with ease and laugh and to cuddle them afterwards.

My time with him was short. I kept it to two hours so I can get back home and get the rest and sleep I need to contain my cold.

Tuesday November 8 2016 - SamuraiWrestler, part 3Recent matches
I wrestled last tuesday SamuraiWrestler (id 10716) again... but it's been a year since our last match.

One of the great perks of holding the blog also as a personal diary is that I can review my previous matches to determine his weaknesses and strengths. I did abuse a bit of his weakness where he gets ticklish if you touch him too softly. What better way to annoy him than to hold him still in a body scissors and to past my fingers softly on his back?

Yeah... I'm a bit of a cheat.

He lost some weight and I had quite an easy time making him tap. We did had a good back and forth anyway in an overall good intense match.

Sunday November 1 2015 - SamuraiWrestler, round 2Recent matches
I wrestled SamuraiWrestler (id 10716) again today. (I know him better as JP329 or Ninjya_Wrestler or even NJW77.. he's on stealth, changing his pseudonym all the time and confusing the heck out of me). Last time I wrestled him was back in January 2015.

This is our second time and I have to admit that since then, he has improved by a lot. He remembered the things I've taught him about countering my scissors using his elbows, he learned some new skills and he has developed better defense. Despite the improvement, I still managed to get a dozen taps on him, mainly with my body scissors and a couple with my leg scissors and leg locks.... hehehe. We started with pro, then went for sub and switched back and forth.

He was a very good sport to take pictures this time around. Here's one where he puts on me an abdominal stretch and a second one where I clamp on him a good ol' bearhug. And what would be a complete picture set without my traditional torture rack?

You'll notice the mask is slightly off in the rack.. that's why I seldom wear masks. I love putting racks, but each time I put someone on my shoulder, the mask would just tilt and ruin the shot.

Anyway, we hit it off pretty well for about 3 hours. In pro, I showed him the reverse indian deathlock, one of my key moves. In submission, he managed to learn how to apply the leg lock in combination with the arm lock, an even better and dangerous key move. On several occasions, I was just touching his back softly and that tickled him... looks like I found a weakness..

Saturday January 17 2015 - Tz128 and SamuraiWrestlerRecent matches
I had the honor this month to wrestle visitors that were in town for a short while. I wrestled both Tz126 (id 6866) and SamuraiWrestler (id 10716) on two separate occasions.

Tz126 (id 6866) was a newcomer and I was very honored that he picked me as of his first matches. We did mostly trading of holds and I tried training him with the holds I often used. I think his favorite was definitely the reverse indian deathlock. It's actually a complicated move for a beginner, but Tz126 caught on it pretty fast. He repeated it on me a couple of times to imprint it in his mind. I lifted him up in a rack, but he was very uneasy at first. It's totally understandable: it's not everyday somebody puts you up on your shoulders and starts walking you around or bend you until you submit.

Last tuesday, I wrestled SamuraiWrestler (id 10716) who is also an asian (of Japanese descent I believe... I know him more under the nickname Ninyja). He was smaller than me and he insisted on doing submission. I'd have to admit that I was able to control the match pretty well. His weakness was definitely the body scissors, and many people know that body scissors are my favorite thing to do. He told me he'd be visiting Montreal often, so I'm sure we'll have a couple of re-matches. I was the 5th wrestler SamuraiWrestler ever wrestled, so again, it was a honor for me to be among the first few that could do some knowledge transfer.
