Spider-Man holds onto Morbius from behind to stop him from draining any more people’s plasma *, (almost) bearhugging him just after 6 minutes for a few seconds.
* Morbius draining plasma through the pores on his hands instead of biting necks and sucking blood was due to the censorship from Fox at the time. |

| Dr. Mariah Crawford has developed a cure for Spidey’s disease, but she’s reluctant to give an untested serum to Spider-Man that may result in permanent loss of his powers or worse. But after an angry outburst from Spider-Man, she hands it over. Peter, at the ESU lab, is secretly observed by Michael Morbius, who then swipes the infected blood sample after Peter leaves for the night. Working alone in the campus bell tower with borrowed equipment, Morbius has an accident which transforms him into a vampire who drains plasma from everyone. Because of the mutation, Spider-Man is unable to stop Morbius, but then learns what happened to him. Later on, Morbius attacks Felicia. Spider-Man rescues Felicia and tries to stop Morbius. When the sun rises, Morbius returns to normal and is hospitalized. Later, when the sun sets, Morbius becomes a vampire again and escapes from the hospital. Arriving too late to visit Morbius, Felicia thinks Spider-Man ”kidnapped” him. Meanwhile, after giving Spider-Man the serum, Dr. Mariah Crawford discovers if Spider-Man will take the serum, he will mutate. Peter is attacked by the mutation and is having six arms as he screams. |
